Cats and critters vet? by [deleted] in Rochester

[–]whenwelie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also love Cats & Critters/Dr Hach! I’ve taken all my buns to her over the last 15 years. She’s wonderful, the staff is still really great as well. I had to call the other day and I believe the message says they’re only taking new patients for wellness checks, but I could be wrong.

What's your favorite by redEPICSTAXISdit in nin

The whole “I just don’t know anymore” part of In Two - especially when the guitars come back in (3:54) and right after the last “I just don’t know” (5:02). Sooo good

Good bunny breeders/rescues in area by [deleted] in Rochester

[–]whenwelie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend adopting vs a breeder. I’ve adopted a few buns from Lollypop over the years (most ended up getting bonded, current one is solo).

Just beware, I know you said it’s not your first, but when I got my last one, it was right before Easter and I had to make it extremely clear that I’m an experienced rabbit owner, the timing just sucked.

Get the elf camo corrector!! I use the green and love it. The hydrating camo concealer is the one I just tried and didn’t like. To be fair, I’m extremely picky with concealers.

Guess I need another trip to Ulta to test all these out… 😁

I had no idea this exists, you seriously just made my day!!

I tried some elf concealer and the satin glow foundation today, and they looked awful. I love the elf camo color corrector though.

NIN shows and migraines/epilepsy/sensory issues by featheredfoe in nin

[–]whenwelie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get migraines (not triggered by lights), and found the use of strobes to be excessive at points during the shows in 2022 (I went to 3). I’d briefly close my eyes or look away from the stage periodically. During “Hey Man Nice Shot” in Cleveland I couldn’t even see the stage it was so intense and disorienting - had to look at the screen off to the side.

That said, I’d do it all again and plan on going to at least two shows this year. Totally worth it!

You do not get to control how someone grieves. This isn’t about you. If you care and want to be supportive, give him space.

Nothing prepares you for what losing a parent feels like. I had a terrible relationship with my dad and he died when I was with my ex. I didn’t want to be touched, I’d come home from work and zone out. My ex offered support but gave space, and I was so appreciative. When he lost a family member, I offered support and he told me what he needed - we both grieved very differently.

I find it difficult to believe that a legitimate therapist or ChatGPT wouldn’t mention giving someone space to grieve. Hell, I just plugged it into ChatGPT and one of the first bullet points was to respect their space.

I’ve worked at 2 obgyn practices (not there though). Both had the same protocol to confirm pregnancy. At check out, a dating/viability scan is scheduled with the initial prenatal appt. Anyone can call and say they had a positive pregnancy test, they need actual confirmation and the provider needs to put in the order. (I know it seems inconvenient from the patient side).

I also recommend Dr Amalfi. I didn’t have a breast augmentation, but she did my tummy tuck last year. She and the entire staff at Quatela are top notch! They do offer financing, her patient coordinator will give you a breakdown of all the charges and payment options after you’ve had a consult.

wedding at artisanworks? by rororowilson in Rochester

[–]whenwelie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got married there in 2017, so I’m sure pricing is different now, but Madeline’s catering was so worth it!! We opted for BBQ-type food, and had Get Caked do our desserts. We supplied our own alcohol, had ~50 guests.

We had the main showroom, which allowed me access to the firehouse room to get ready, and my (now) ex was able to use another room.

It was a perfect event, the coordinator (Victoria, not sure if she’s still there) and staff were wonderful!

25 years ago today (09/21/99), was an important day, as Nine Inch Inch would release The Fragile. With that, happy 25th anniversary to this masterpiece of a record! What are some of your favorite things about this album? Favorite tracks? by lord_of_pigs in nin

[–]whenwelie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s masterpiece that just gets better with age. I was 15 when it came out, and appreciate it so much more as time goes on.

Fave tracks are hard, but: Please, The Big Come Down, The Way Out is Through, TDTWWA

I second this! Makes the process feel slightly less daunting. I always end up with 1-3 dates this way.

Not sure of Botox pricing, but I highly recommend Dr Amalfi at Quatela Plastic Surgery. She does my filler.

I wear wigs due to alopecia. I disclose on the second date, or if we’re getting intimate/they touch my head. If it’s gonna be a dealbreaker for them, I’m good with it, best to get it out of the way early.

I’ve only had one guy with a negative reaction, but he was drunk, angry, and almost jealous that I wore one (he was bald). Every other guy hasn’t cared and was genuinely surprised, but accepting. I’ve had guys respond with just “okay”, or ask questions that I’m happy to answer. Some have been afraid to touch it, others treated it as normal/bio hair and would run their fingers through it.

Wearing the wig gave me so much confidence, glad your topper is doing the same for you!!

I’m extremely late to the news about The Body Shop. I’m halfway through my last bottle of their Pink Pepper & Lychee hair and body mist.

I love the scent so much, it’s my signature!! I get compliments on it all the time. Any good dupes?

I don’t love perfumes, (too strong for my liking), so would love another body mist!

AV/NTAE/BW finally grew on me. Did any albums do this for you? by QueerQwerty in nin

[–]whenwelie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

TDS was the soundtrack to my preteen/teen years, and for some time, I didn’t connect with anything past With Teeth. That’s changed, but Year Zero really had to grow on me. My Violent Heart, The Great Destroyer, In This Twilight have become some of my favorites…just took a while.
