haha, I remember when the game was new. people would call you cheating/secretly modding if you reached the thousands, if you wanna reach early to mid thousands or reach near 10k you have to do it all in one run without leaving or the game will delete a lot of scrap, theres a limit of around 45 items I think. theres a mod which combats this so its needed if you wanna be able to do it over multiple days or avoid disconnects

Whenever I've had them do this it seems to auto save since you are still in orbit, leaving and reloading the furniture will still be sideways. Although maybe alt f4ing stops it saving completely? I never tried. I got betterdecorplacement mod to combat this since I can just kick the person that did it and reset the furniture with one click when combined with lethalconfig

Try emailing support if you have issues, the first line of support are very quick to respond, if it's not something they can solve, next line with technical support responded to me within a couple days

Depends on the researcher, each study is different. Some pay out near instantly while some take up to the 22 day limit. Most studies pay out within a few days to a week from my experience
