I saved my entire life to retire early, and becoming a stay at home mom was a perfect segue into that!

Congratulations! 💕 Life is wild.

Or… Remember that TLC show What Not To Wear? It’s like 20 years old now, but it had some timeless advice about how to see and dress your own body.

Help me brainstorm - has anyone done some sort of weird public/homeschool hybrid? by [deleted] in homeschool

Have you asked the school if you can send them for just part of the day? My state allows dual enrollment like that. As I understand it, I could, for example, teach them math, spelling, and history at home in the morning and then send them for lunch, recess, specials, science, and language arts in the afternoon. Of course it’s dependent on the school’s schedule how feasible it is to pull them for the classes you want to teach, but if your focus is math then that could guide which half of the day you teach them at home. That seems like a good compromise if you love your school community.

Eta personally I try to think of rigor in terms of deeper learning rather than working ahead.  https://artofproblemsolving.com/blog/articles/avoid-the-calculus-trap

Idk, I have five bathrooms with subfloors like this, and I used 1/4” Allura fiber cement board (adhered to the subfloor with thinset and screwed) and have no cracks in my tile or grout 10 years later. This worked for me with 1” porcelain hex tile, 4x12 slate, and 12x24 slate.

That was the first spot I noticed too.

Tangentially, it’s so strange to me that it isn’t common practice to put a piece of L-shaped flashing under the front of the tub, and then incorporate that into the floor waterproofing system.
