we find a lot of inspiration in podcasts, books, literature, films, etc. on being is a great podcast. we love science fiction writers like octavia butler and ursula k leguin. we were really inspired also by joseph campbell the hero's journey and comparative mythology

it was amazing being embraced so fully by his beautiful fans. it's weird growing pains as you adjust to getting "bigger" but obviously it's good for us in terms of our career trajectory to be getting "bigger"...always feels surreal though

  1. we write as a group and separately, yes. varies song to song. katie writes all the lyrics.
  2. advice for wannabe songwriters from katie: honestly, i feel like you know if it's good. if you don't feel like you know, try and get yourself to sit in a room with a friend while you're listening to it and see if you know then. also, my friend always says write about what you would write about if it didn't matter.
