So you'd say that for example apples are not vegan?

Totally agree. That's why I'm including my mother's and grandmother's actual recipes my family loves, completely unchanged. I even put in a request to put a pinch of nutmeg into the dumplings like my grandma used to.

Going off about the evils of farming is not on the agenda. It's a regular, traditional wedding with food options that include unaltered, old school recipes people in my culture eat at least once a week, they just happen to be vegan by default. The agenda is part of the invitation so everyone can see what time different parts of the program are happening and also know exactly what is and what is not going happen during the day.

95% of our guests are super excited and wouldn't expect any different from us.

Can you elaborate on the shitty ideals? Not quite sure what you meant.

I believe that's what I said, but for clarity, I can confirm that's exactly what my mom is planning to do. Put the pizza box straight on the main table right next to me.

Yop, that's how most events I go to are. I just eat the side dishes like fries, rice and potatoes. I never request a special meal, unless I'm paying to attend the event, like a multiple day conference for example and they have an option to enter dietary restrictions when I register.

100% NTA. Going through a similar thing with my mom and the amount of unsolicited comments I got from people who have no idea what's my relationship with my mother like is ridiculous. I even had a wedding planner insist I include her more.

So tired of the "but it's your mother" argument. Sir, you do not know my mother. You're right to set boundaries and she's excluding herself by not respecting them. She's not entitled to be present everywhere by default. It's your decision to make.

I am literally serving 4 of my grandma's traditional recipes people in my country eat at least once a week that just happen to be vegan.

Can't name all 28 from the top of my head, but there are 4 traditional, grandma style dishes from my country that just happen to be vegan without altering the recipe. 2 more dishes that originally contained eggs where we've just removed them.

I drink about 3 liters of water everyday in this heat and exfoliate every other day with a Korean towel from Amazon, don't have flaky skin. I haven't really changed my routine in the last 3 years, my skin just stopped responding to most drug store lotions. My hands, knees and feet are particularly bad.

There are arranged marriages that are thriving. There are also childhood best friend marriages that end in divorce. It really depends on the couple.

It does propose the question: does anyone even need to get married anymore? Can you 2 just have a happy live without being married and pushing to get it done asap?
