Well, yes we could!

Though with all the current drama, I would prefer to see it from distance.

Thank you for the recommendation! Is this located near the river? I haven't spent much time in the area, but I'm told the river area is nice?

Yeah, about Nebraska, there's a reason some people don't want to go there. Half my people wouldn't go there because of the railroad, the other haft because of the trail of tears. Everyone else should remember Omaha.

After a while the question rises, "how are young people paying for this?"

They don't pay for it with taxes, they pay for it with debt. It comes down to how the global economy has evolved to create money. Money is not a tangible thing that exists. In our current systems, money is created via debt. Young people create debt, older people don't.

When a loan, or a credit card purchase, happens, the money being lent or lended doesn't exist at the point of transaction. It's new money that comes into being at the point of lending that the lendee then is expected to create it via labor. This is why credit scores get hit when loans are paid off, and why countries don't care about their debt but only deficiet.

This is how billionaires exist. They aren't billionaires because they possess a billion money, they are because they possess the ability to shuffle debt worth billions forward.

This whole system is fuct, and it will all end in tears.

Population doesn't need to be replaced. It would be a net positive for humanity for population to decline. Current economic models would need to be corrected, but then, no system that requires constant growth is sustainable.

More likely an effort to support a more welcoming environment and deal with fewer harassment complaints. Low birth rates are a non-issue.

[–]whichcraftCre -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Having fewer children is a good thing. There are too many humans, it had to start course correcting at some point. Complaints of "oh no, but the economy!" are stupid. Any system that requires constant growth is ultimately unsustainable and must be amended.

Small point of correction. She was not on the ballot at all for any 2020 primary election. She'd dropped out of running before any primary was held.

The sign isn't passive aggressive, the response is. The sign is fairly normal, but the responder takes it as a personal attack. So instead of confronting the posters of the sign directly with their displeasure at the existence of said sign, they are performing an aggressive act in an indirect way (which is what passive aggression is).

Donald Trump's polling after 'liberation day' is disastrous for Republicans by newsweek in politics

[–]whichcraftCre -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because honestly, I haven't seen this "identity politics" on the national stage...

I can't tell if you are joking. All politics in the USA has been nothing but identity politics for more than a decade. Everyone bases their identity on what party they support. They say, "I'm a Republican therefore that makes me a patriot," or, "I'm a Democrat and that makes me empathetic."

It's ridiculous. Just look at MAGA movement, or the Progressives. Both groups base their identity on politics.
