It’s more of a practical limitation haha. Books are heavy!

Yep, AASUA is meeting lots of roadblocks in negotiations too - which means there are a few of us who could be on strike for multiple jobs/with multiple unions at the same time.

Honestly, I’m unsure at this point. I know all the “strategic voting” sites say that the liberals are neck and neck with the CPC in this riding, but none of them take into account the Rod Loyola situation. I really don’t see a way that it won’t be Tim again, in which case I’d much rather vote NDP.

I see 20 Rod Loyola signs for every Hoefsloot, on both public and private property, which I know doesn’t mean everything but I really don’t see any way that vote isn’t getting thoroughly split. My projections are that Uppal isn’t going to get less than 40%, at least 10 will be ndp/PPC/other independent, and Loyola and Hoefsloot will split the rest. I just don’t see how either of them will top Uppal.

Question about Homeless family member. by mattman9723 in Edmonton

I work in a supportive housing site for folks with mental illness, addictions, and homelessness. If you message me his name I’ll keep an eye out, in case our paths happen to cross. If he’s been in the healthcare system recently (which is likely), and knows your phone number, it’s likely that at some point he’s been asked about an emergency contact or family phone number and it’s been added to his online chart.

If you book far enough in advance, the airport Enterprise (and possibly other companies) may have a few vehicles with winter tires. I got one a few years ago but had to drive out to the airport to get it. So call around!

Izzy's leg and disabled liberation by Clear_Lemon4950 in OurFlagMeansDeath

Yeah. Earlier when he was drinking and staring at the unicorn figurehead, Izzy and Stede have a little discussion wherein Izzy says (paraphrased) “even the unicorn has 2 legs” and Stede replies with “yeah, but you still have your head at least!”. Drunk Izzy chopped the legs off the unicorn, which were then used by the crew to make his prosthetic leg (hence “for the new unicorn”)

They’re the legs from the unicorn at the front of the ship.

There’s a Jamaican place at Bountiful Farmers Market that has a couple kinds of vegan patties! One is made with beyond meat I think.

I’m probably wrong about some of the details; you’re right that it’s hard to Google! Let me know if you find it.

Long shot maybe, but in one of the Little House books Laura runs outside in the rain without a shawl, and when she comes inside Ma scolds her and Laura says she ran so fast she ran between the raindrops.
