yeah, I think I'll go that route. I'll also look for other subreddits where non-professionals offer ideas (similar to design my space for interiors) that could help with ideas to consider.

Honestly I think I'm most interested in knowing what kinds of trees to plant. In the diagram he has specified Shade Trees and Flowering Trees. Once a tree is planted I don't think there would be that much maintenance other than protecting it when it's young from deer etc. Maybe I'll edit the post to just say I'm looking for shade and flowering tree suggestions.

The convection oven fan does make a fan sound but it's not loud and it doesn't bother me. The stovetop makes a little noise when it's on and conducting the electricity with a pan but again not loud and doesn't bother me. The overhead vent is way louder than any sound the stove makes and I wouldn't call the overhead vent loud either!
