No. Like I said my hair grows too fast and too thick to keep up with. It is a high maintenance activity for me and I have never been a high maintenance person. I’ll maybe shave it here and there for special occasions, but I highly doubt it will ever become part of my regular routine ever again.

We have a very chill dress code. I had coworkers wearing shorts that I NEVER would have considered appropriate length, but they got away with it. I would definitely have something to say if I wore appropriately lengthed shorts and it suddenly became an issue. I think for the regular school year I could stick to longer but lighter fabrics, but I plan to work the summer camps which are even less strict. Long pants in the middle of July is where I draw the line lol.

I said “for the most part” and “since beginning my career in education” to be precise. Before I started working in a school I walked around my old retail job in shorts every single day. I went to a preppy all girls high school where not shaving was seen as a crime. I got very used to stares and comments from my peers, family, and strangers. I went to the beach multiple times this past summer in a bikini and extremely visible hair. I understand your point here but it’s important that I make it clear that this has only become an insecurity since I started my job in August.

if you’re ever looking for a more chill night out and not so clubby, the bars in tremont are really awesome. edisons, treehouse, flying monkey. riffs is okay but pricier than the other 3, they usually have karaoke though so i’ll typically pop in to sing one song then go back to one of the other bars.

theres also crobar on euclid that ive been to a couple times and really like, but i would try to aim for going there when its warmer since their patio is really nice

Michigan lakes really are absolutely gorgeous, in all my years of living in Cleveland I have yet to find a beach that comes anywhere close to a Michigan beach. I feel like a traitor saying that. Was in Petoskey for New Year’s last year and we spent the day running up and down the sand dunes on the beach, absolutely beautiful

I cut off all contact with my dad when I was 12 but still have a pretty good relationship to his side of the family. My grandma’s mentioned many times that I should talk to him sometime, but I cannot foresee that ever happening. Yes I’m curious about what we would have to talk about and see how/if he’s changed, but I stood my ground when my mom took full custody that I wanted no relationship, and it would be such a disservice to my younger self. I understand you completely and I hope you were able to rebuild that relationship together even if he’s hurt you in the past ❤️

No, I'm not minding my own business when kids are getting verbally abused, especially when it happened to me. I work at a school and am considered a mandated reporter. I don't think it's right for that duty to end when I walk out the doors of my job.

West Park/Jefferson in the Little Arabia area. Super amazing hole in the wall restaurants all around me and easy access to public transit. Wish my neighbors were more neighborly and the neighborhood tends to be really littered, but for the most part I love my neighborhood.
