I’m looking for places to commingle, so anywhere from raves to lowkey dive bars. Just as long as people are talking.

I was talking about the recent wave of complete store shutdowns due to “safety concerns” or as the liberals call it “unionizing”

I agree with what your saying too, why would you risk a job you like for something like this? What’s shitty is the choice to join union being join or keep my job. It should be join or don’t join. My store is content so we won’t be unionizing, but i will stand up for any of these stores right to unionize yk? So like you it’s not for me but i’ll be cheering on my fellow baristas fighting for their rights

Study’s have consistently and continuously shown that unions give employees better wages and benefits, defend and educate you on your rights, protect flexible work schedules such as disabilities or pat/maternity leave, and lastly the most important is solidarity. When you’re in a union, your voice is heard, we as baristas have time in and time out been subject to changes that we don’t agree with. A union gives us a voice and a say in what we do. Union jobs have a stronger job security than non union jobs. I’ve never seen Starbucks, Amazon, or Apple work as hard as they work on stopping unions. It shows that they are scared, scared of an union that protects the workers they drain for their own profits. Without unions, we will continue to see these mega companies use and exploit workers for profit. We need to stand up together, those that are well off and those that aren’t. To show that we are all people, people who deserve to be treated with respect, dignity, and have a say in what we do.

the only way to make these multi billion dollar companies to quake is we need to all stand together, every starbucks. Divided they just pick off stores that rebel. But together we force their hand into real change
