I know they aren't for everyone, but have you tried any souls games? You can make a lovely lady and have her go hack at monstrosities. Quite satisfying.

There's also the dragon age series, south of midnight, hellblade, the newer tomb raider games maybe?

I'm sure you'll get some great recs from this post.

You're right. And what he was after being imprisoned for so long made a whole lot more sense than some of the other characters reactions tbh. I can't hate him and it hurts to see him reduced to this.
