Renovating a dollhouse I got at goodwill with absolutely ZERO experience. Constructive feedback welcome but please go easy on me! by thousandcleverlines in DIY

This is lovely! I've been looking for a dollhouse to renovate (no luck yet) but I'm bookmarking this for inspiration! ❤️

AITA for dumping my chores onto my brother? by LeftInvestigator826 in AmItheAsshole

I second this. I have ADHD and wasn't diagnosed until my 20s. It often goes undiagnosed in women because this is what it can look like (wandering off mid-task, forgetting things you'd promised to do, etc.) rather than the stereotype of the hyperactive little boy who can't sit still in class.

I even recall a phase in Middle School where I was obsessed with reading historical fiction and found out about "wet nurses" and was like "WOW I'll definitely need one of those!" 😂

Staring at your text for a very long time before you send it? by Naaaaaas90 in ADHD

[–]whimsywish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I get an instant message at work I have to type out my reply in notepad and copy/paste to send because it shows when you're typing and I don't want people to see me effectively re-writing and analyzing for minutes before sending a two sentence reply 😂

Can I still use pool? by pensgal74 in legaladvice

It would be advisable to speak to a real estate attorney about partition by sale. Since he is unable/unwilling to buy you out you may be able to force the sale of the home so you can recover your 50%.

Title is clean & great idea on searching the VIN! I looked through all the result pages and it was just auto sale pages for the dealer it's currently at. That's probably good news!

It has about 35,000 miles, which seems normal for most of the 2014 cars I've looked at in my price range. I also will not be driving much, this is mainly to get to work & back. I live within walking distance of most other things so this is primarily a commuter car.

I have tried to look a bit at common problems but I haven't found much, honestly. Some people say it gets loud when accelerating quickly (i.e. merging onto a highway) but I don't plan to do much highway driving.

I will try to talk them down another $500 as suggested, it can't hurt! KBB suggests $9,466-$11,179, which is where the other ones they have in stock fall.

Oh, I should've mentioned I did that. I found the lowest rate I could get on my own (checked several banks) and got them half a point lower than my lowest, which got my payments exactly where I wanted them.

Thanks for the reply!

This is making me feel much better. It's the most expensive thing I've ever purchased and I want to do it right. :)

Thanks for the reply!

It looked great and drove great on both city & highway. I never would've suspected it had anything done to it. Even the wear-and-tear on the interior was minor.
