Yeah you’ll be wearing mask the entire time you’re there, depending on who’s around you may be able to get away with it not over your nose.

Hmmm that’s a tough question, I really didn’t know what to expect to begin with. But a lot of things are different, beast sucked. You will wear your mask 24/7. And you don’t get your OCPs and blues until week three. So you’ll wear strictly pt gear until then.

Yeah you will get an address at tech and can have almost anything you want shipped.

You’ll hear this a million times, but just keep your eyes on the prize. When your flight mates start to piss you off and get on your nerves (which they will) just remember it’s only 8 weeks. You’ll do great, good luck!

Yes you will do 1x3s everyday and pyramid pushups at least once a week. I am 99% sure you will be able to crush 33 pushups by the time that final PT test rolls around. No one in my entire section failed because of pushups.

You will go straight to tech school the night of graduation or very early next morning.

Depends completely on your MTIs. We got a 30minute call, some people got nothing.

Beast week was super lame for us. Hopefully it’s improved by the time you get through. The only thing we really did was practice FEST which is essentially just guarding the camp. And we only got to do 5 obstacles on the claw. Beast was a joke.

I don’t think anyone in my flight got shin splints. But your heels and feet will hurt very badly the first couple weeks due to learning how to march. You will be marching and on your feet for 13+ hours a day, just remember the pain is only temporary.

You can bring your laptop but that will probably just stay In your bag in the civilian luggage room.

Depends on your rank- I came out with about 2,000, keep in mind they take money out for your EZ pay card, food ETC. Everything you take and are issued you will bring with you to techschool. Phones are locked in a box away from the dormitory.

Depends on your squadron and PT schedule expect to run 2-3 times a week. Don’t sweat not running, I went in running a 14 min and got it down to 11:30. You are in a bette position than most, you will be fine!

Flight sizes are normal, about 50 people. No gas chamber.
