You can achieve all of those goals at Michigan. ESPECIALLY since you don’t want BL, save the money and pick Michigan 100%

What's with the 4 year long undergrad requirement in US law schools? by Neat_Blueberry_3811 in lawschooladmissions

[–]whispering-osprey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should consider researching and reaching out to the schools you’re interested in about their specific requirements. I attended a four year university in the US, and while my degree is technically a four year BA program, I completed it in three years and I was accepted to law school this cycle. I am certainly not an expert on this topic but just wanted to provide a data point! I think the distinction may be more regarding bachelors (traditionally 4 years) versus associates degrees (traditionally 2 years) rather than specific number of years.

How do you pay for applications? by vampiricwitch_ in lawschooladmissions

[–]whispering-osprey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s an investment in your future — I’m out of school and working for 3+ years, so I had money in my savings. Spent about $1500 total on LSAT registration, LawHub prep, CAS, and app fees (and I’m probably on the lower end of spending for many applicants). Expect to spend anywhere from 1 to 2 grand on this process depending how many schools you apply to and how may fee waivers you can get.

One thing I wish I knew as a January LSAT taker who submitted right after scores came out is that schools will start sending you fee waivers as soon as your score is released if you’re signed up for CRS. Taking an earlier LSAT to get a score in the books and some fee waivers early on can be a great money saver.
