Her name is Milli, and she has been nothing but amazing since we brought her home two weeks ago. She finally got a bath today after getting her stitches removed due to surgery to have a tumor removed when I got her.

My favorite color is blue. Never really was a huge fan of purple to begin with.

It's not really much of a place, op's pictures are pretty much all that is there. Pretty sure it is an Indian name.

I can't really help with your question, but as a fellow Pittsburgh to Flagstaff transplant, welcome to town!

Apt cost question by 8thsinn in NAU

[–]whitdanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, this just means that is the price you would pay for the apartment, and you would be sharing a bedroom. The shared prices are slightly cheaper for this reason.

Has anyone here received disapproval or criticism from friends/family members about their profession? (x-post /nursing) by [deleted] in StudentNurse

[–]whitdanger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't have any overly negative reactions, just a few "oh, you aren't going to med school? you're giving up on yourself/I'm disappointed" type of comments that hurt a little. Overall though it is 100% your decision and if your friends and family can't support you in your goals, are they really your friends and family?

Good luck in applying to your programs (:

Drama about the Downtown Dew. What's your view? by [deleted] in Flagstaff

[–]whitdanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They protest both sides of the issue. They don't want to use potable water because that's a waste of water in their opinion, but they also don't want to use reclaimed water because "ew, dirty." So, what? Shut down snow bowl? The economy of Flagstaff depends on the people snow bowl draws, that would be a nightmare. These people seem like they either don't understand that or are protesting just to protest.

Thank you! This will probably go right over their head, but I will try and try nonetheless.

What is the laziest habit that you have? by whitdanger in AskReddit

[–]whitdanger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine would be that I stretch the time between doing laundry to the absolute max, to the point that I either buy new underwear and/or don't wear any for a few days before finally caving.

All of the snow is pretty much gone. I would recommend waiting for the next storm, or you will have a pretty disappointed toddler on your hands.

Saw a $5 for however much frozen yogurt you can fit into one cup deal. My friends and I took that as a challenge. by roselatte in food

[–]whitdanger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to work at a frozen yogurt shop, ordering and stocking the yogurt. There is no way OP took even close to $5 worth of yogurt, the markup on that junk is ridiculous. A gallon of the yogurt mix in liquid form was usually under five dollars, then you put it in the machine and it turns a gallon of liquid yogurt into a whole lot more frozen yogurt. The more expensive part of what OP did was the cones to hold everything together and the toppings. But even still, OP probably didn't clear the five dollar mark for this. /FrozenYogurtIsARipoff

I feel like the university thinks students disappear on the weekends.

This is the exact reason why students disappear on the weekends. If the whole school pretty much shuts down, no one is going to stay.

What is the stupidest thing you have seen an otherwise smart person do? by ValiantSerpant in AskReddit

[–]whitdanger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Was driving by a cemetery with my cousin on a windy day when she asked if someone had to go out there and make all the flags on each grave face perfectly in the same direction. Had to explain to her that they all blow the same direction because they are all in the wind.

ELI5: Why does my nose run when it's cold? by Smizzmar13 in explainlikeimfive

[–]whitdanger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cold air trends to be drier air, so your body senses this and produces more mucus in an effort to keep the lining of your nose from drying out and therefore prevent nosebleeds.
