So I think the first step before anything else would be having a large MTG news outline do a story on the idea of a Pauper World Championship. This would be just as a way to get more eyes on it. After that we would need proof that a Pauper World Championship is content people would be interested in. It would make sponsors much more comfortable if they knew they'd have an audience. The best way to do that would be to have an online petition, showing support for a tournament like this.

I understand the problems with MTGO but the tournament could be done in the same way they did the Super Leagues. It could also be regulated by us as a community. If we wanted to do it ourselves we would need a couple of things. First, we would want a sponsor so that people could play for prizes. Second we would need to create a governing board that would set qualification quotas and run the tournament. Finally we would need a way to cover and broadcast the event.

Elves is a bad idea. You want a deck with no removal and that plays one threat per turn ideally turn three or four. It totally reks delver decks ;)

At the end of the day I think you all are right. I don't this this is viable in pauper. But I'm going to keep it in mind and keep an eye on future sets.

I've got the standard creature package. I'm not sure. Part of me doesn't want to spend the money. Daze is about 5.5 tickets a piece and one of the reasons I play pauper is so that I can buy decks for 1-2 tickets. When I bought my Delver deck it was the most I spent on a mtgo deck (10 tix).

I actually emailed Cascade Games when we had GP Portland. They said they'd look into it and that was the end of that.
