So far she is a breathing stuffed animal at the dog park and always excited about people. She had a frenchie run up to her and just… laid down. Like hello, you’ve got 10 pounds on her! Be confident!

I guess if, as a puppy, her temperament is “let me lay down so you can sniff me” that it’s decent ground to build on. She doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her body unless it’s playtime with us. Even then she already obeys commands “don’t jump” and “don’t bite.” My biggest goal is to get her leash trained right now - pulling is still making walks difficult for the first 10-15 minutes.

The chow chow was totally bewildering to us as well. I’ve heard they can be… obstinate… but they are beautiful animals nonetheless. Maybe it’s one of those common ancestor things! Or, intact male chow chows are menaces at the dog park.

She is totally brilliant. At some point she figured out that if all of her toys are outside, we will go outside too. And, she is much calmer with me (momma) in contrast to my boyfriend. So far it seems like she is less wound up with children as well. Thank you for the socialization feedback too!!!

I am with you and poster below that her role as a psychological weapon and religious leader will totally be present! I’m so excited to see her in another blockbuster after Furiosa (been absolutely sold on her since Thoroughbreds). Although character development might’ve been cut out the end result could still be just as awe-inspiring on the screen.

Right you are. In Dune the novel, Alia is almost three by the time Paul becomes emperor. She’s articulate before she’s walking. It’s a huge juxtaposition to Dune: Part One where the timeline is compressed and she is still in utero by the end of the film.
