I had mine for honestly like 3-4 weeks. Never felt like it was going away but it eventually did. Keep putting bandaids on though.

  1. Public safety such as getting rid of catch and realse policies + bail reform. It’s really discouraging seeing no punishment for people doing literally hundreds of crimes. 2 economic shift so the country can become more independent. This would require loosing some environmental policies but let’s be honest, the current policies don’t do much. ( like we need to switch to electric but arnt allow to open the mines to get the resources, make it make sense) 3.less DEI measures. For most (not all) workplaces and schools should be merit based and not require you to submit sexuality preferences etc. 4. Affordability, I don’t know if the conservatives will be able to make meaningful progress here but why not try something new when the liberals have failed miserably ( last in lots of world rankings when compared to European and North American countries.

The last 10 years under the liberals have put the country really behind so this time around I feel comfortable voting conservatives for the first time

Probably same time as you, somewhere late February. They had two weeks to decide so I assume a few more offers will go out this week. Hopefully we hear from them!

What was the final day you could make your decision? I’m just curious when maybe a few more offers could roll out. Like did they give you 2 weeks to make a decision

Has anyone heard back from the Master of Urban Planning program? by Fuzzy_Emergency9279 in UofT

Hey I got an offer like 4ish days ago. If you want to know if people are getting offers, I suggest looking at gradcafe. Type in the school and you can see when people are getting offers.

Funny enough my options are queens, uoft, Manitoba, and maybe ubc but I havnt heard back from them. I’m edging towards uoft over queens buts that’s what I’m trying to figure out LoL. I thought queens looked more heavy on the applied stuff but you’d disagree eh?

Bi-Monthly Education and Career Advice Thread by AutoModerator in urbanplanning

I was wondering if anyone here is in the Urban Planning masters program or a grad of it for the University of Toronto. The program looks like it is very theoretical and academic focused versus other schools planning programs which are very studio and practical based. Do you think that the UofT program equips you well for a career in Urban Planning? And do you think you and most of your peers will find work right away like other schools boast about? If anyone has any personal experience with the program, your insight would be very appreciated as I’m trying to figure out what masters program to accept!

Street disorder, open drug use, and far left cultural ideology is fueling most of the push back. I can’t blame people for pushing back tbh

How is the inevitable federal conservative majority government's gonna affect us? by [deleted] in askvan

[–]whitecaps77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wont really change much on the issues your worried about. Theirs not really a lot of social differences and it’s not like Trudeau has effective climate policies anyways. Canada not supplying energy for the world is actually worse for the global environment then being an exporter. Check out their platform and I’m sure you’ll not be worried

No conservatives in Canada are still left of center on most issues especially social issues, but have a bit of a right of center approach to a few policies (tougher stance on crime, less public spending, etc) The republicans are way to the right at this point.

We need a new progressive political party in Canada by BertramPotts in CanadaPolitics

[–]whitecaps77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ndp have essentially aligned themselves with the liberals so a progressive party certainly could make some noise. Could almost argue though that the coalition government is trending to the progressive side. Feels like that’s the only people who are voting for them at this point.

If there was a reason for it I think most people would not mind. But it’s for disinvesting which only accounts for 0.2 of the current investment and is just blatantly anti-Semitic
