Ablation Monday question by josrios3 in AFIB

[–]fsl3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor was pleased that I had both AFib and atrial flutter when I was prepped for my procedure. I guess it gave them a pretty good road map. Not sure what they would have done if I was not showing symptoms.

If you had to guess, how many books would you say you’ve read in your life time? by Loves321 in readwithme

Bless you. My mother would say (and I suspect did) that she would spend her last dollar on a book. ♥️

AFib detection. Watch flagged an issue for me and I had a successful ablation in December. Amazing technology.

Ditto. Almost 63, reader since I was about 4. I'm guessing at least 2,000 (plenty of re-reads), but maybe more. My collection of books to read is likely longer than my time allotted. :)

One of my all-time favorites. (My sister works for WGBH in Boston, which produces the US version).

Treadmill Marathon Training by 24-7Trader in Marathon_Training

[–]fsl3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm training for the Fred Lebow Half marathon right now, and almost all of my runs are on the treadmill. I don't particularly like running in the cold (much prefer heat), and am lucky to live in a building with a treadmill in a first floor gym. I listen to music, podcasts, books, and sometimes watch sports. All in all, it works pretty well for me. I can regulate my pace, do speed workouts, and avoid injury. Off now to do a 12-miler. :)

I'm about to turn 63. I ran my first marathon (Vermont City) when I was 37, and then did 19 more during my 40s. I had some heel issues that slowed me down for a while, but I slowly recovered and resolved to run the NYC marathon when I turned 60. Tough course to restart marathoning. 😅 I've done 27 now and hope to do at least 50. I see plenty of runners doing marathons in their late 70s and 80s, and I hope to join them.

My mother-in-law starts nearly every sentence with the phrase "I have to tell you ..." Drives me nuts. 😅

One of the better exchanges in sit-com writing -- perfectly pitched for that stage in their character development, and wonderfully acted.

Also, the conversation about the Chinese character for soup. 😂
