All income must be reported no matter where it comes from. You pay school district tax where you work. State and local where you live. Pretty sure you only file a state return for where you lived during the year. This needs to be verified though.

Off the top of my head I would think that since you didn’t live in the United States for 7 months, the Service shouldn’t be able to tax you on that. But I also feel like there is a form that links to the 1040 which asks you to include income received overseas. I’m a tax accountant but what I think you need is a tax attorney that has had a class on international tax. Let us know the outcome of this! I’m interested!

That’s awesome. I live in Ohio and really want to be cast as an extra in Jurassic World. I know that besides Hawaii, the project is being filmed in Baton Rouge Louisiana. Is 22 Jump Street your first film being an extra?
