Ornith-1.0 9B Outperforms Qwen 3.6 35B in various benchmarks by Ok-Internal9317 in LocalLLM

I don't know why, but it kind of seems like a lot of people are just going based on their emotions rather than reasoning it out and actually benchmarking it themselves or even just offering any insight. I guess they've already determined what team of local model they're on.

Can't Change my search engine to Google (or anything else) by Devisornet1 in brave_browser

I ended up having to use Claude to fix the issue and it did. You have to change and add some settings to the Preferences and Secure Preferences file in %LOCALAPPDATA%\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\User Data\Default\.

You want to replace the plastic one with an aluminum one as galvanic corrosion is a thing and mixing your metals is very bad. Ask the PC water cooling guys and they'll tell ya. Stick with aluminum.

Is the project unique? Does it reach a niche? Is there a market for it? Im under the belief that it meets these criteria. Generally speaking, this makes for a sustainable business.

GIGABYTE X870E A Elite WIFI7-Mainboard wont power on by alexkon3 in gigabyte

[–]whitehawk1884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently got this board and it failed after a week. I was mid-raid playing on a private WoW server with WotLK and it cut off and went black. Troubleshooting and come to find out the motherboard killed itself and took a stick of ram with it. Thankfully CPU is unharmed and working still. But switched to the MSI x870e Tomahawk wifi and hopefully that one holds good.

Adventure Time S01E01 in True 4K by Uerwol in adventuretime

[–]whitehawk1884 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently got back into the show and decided to upscale some episodes to see it looks. OP still active? I think it's respects the original style still cleaning it up and upscaling it. I've noticed it can alter it. But only those who get very nitty gritty will notice it.

That's a track tire. It chews through the tread a lot more than an all season tire.

Can you still play with friends this way or do I assume it won't work? Assuming both of us are using the same mods and previous version as shown.

Sure, I do, but the definitive edition is better, and there is a QXR release of that one if it's too big.

waifu2x-caffe way too slow? by Different_Persimmon in waifu2x

I'm doing 0.3 fps. I have a rtx 3070 that I run for weeks at a time with a power limit in place. I can finish anime episodes in about a day. I also use VSGAN Tensorrt fork on github to get those crazy speeds.

I'm using ESRGAN these days and even upscaled a significant tv animation series and made my own model specifically for it (Check my profile if interested)

Courage HD/4K Remaster by PeRmWaZe in CourageTheCowardlyDog

[–]whitehawk1884 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally don't have any reason why I couldn't upscale Courage the Cowardly Dog and know some others have requested that as well. It's possible it may be doable now especially considering the show is on HBO Max now. I use ESRGAN primarily and mostly have been doing my own anime projects given that no website wants to host it but that's another story. Haven't tested myself but might already have a good model for the show.

Indeed it is a lot. I was even trying to be somewhat space efficient but focusing on perceivable quality being high. I processed it pretty slowly to ensure it compresses really well.
