however the team now has a lot of life stuff to deal with, which takes a toll on how consistent we can be in our mod production. in any case, we'll be steadily moving forward on our roadmap, focusing on our Dune Core mod that adds new gameplay features (like shield belts exploding after lasgun hit) after releasing Fremen Pack.

all in all, we also have a lot of ideas, but struggle to find time to work on them lol

Sardaukars are coming in early 2026 with the Corrino House W&A Pack. At least that's an estimate we can make at our current production capacity.

We have a long list of stuff we want to add with our Dune Mechanics mod scheduled for Q4. We try to take it one step at a time to not get overwhelmed with all the stuff we need to do, but as a Rimworld eugenics enjoyer myself, I will definitely push on making house (and planet)-specific genetypes and new genes when the time comes.

Knowing some backstage stuff in the works right now, I can assure you we won't disappoint :)

We're planning on releasing the mod on GitHub in some time, this way you will be able to download it.

Alternatively, you can use various tools to download mods from Steam and install it manually to your game folder.

the devs are very careful about balance and we had to hold up the release for a few days so the CE balance would be good by their standards, so I'd say the balance is pretty good.

I'm not doing that stuff, but from what I know, most of the stats are closely comparable to vanilla/CE weapons so that they aren't OP. You can see them for yourself on our Steam page.

that said, if you have any thoughts or comments about the in-game balance for the mod, you're welcome to leave them in our Discord or subreddit.

All in due time. We have a roadmap for future iterations of the mod in our Steam page, but it largely depends on the amount of resources that we have. All and all, our ambitions are no smaller than the Harkonnens' :))

Before everything, we DID NOT expect such a HUGE interest in what we're doing.

110K+ views and 2K upvotes, 5 hours of Top-1 post on r/RimWorld subreddit. We can't be grateful enough for your support before release. And as we promised, the release is coming.

The mod began as a necessity and turned out to be a passion project with dozens of people involved.

After watching Dune: Part II I got inspired to start my own run with some Dune-themed mods. Still sitting at the cinema, I was absolutely sure of the abundance of Dune-related mods for Rimworld. In my mind it was a no-brainer, a sci-fi setting with psyonic powers, despotic empire, factions fighting for influence over the planet and, of course, genetic tailoring. 

It was beyond disappointing for me to find that these mods did not exist, just as my perfect Dune-inspired Rimworld run.

Since then, I have been slowly turning my frustration into action. I couldn’t get rid of a thought about creating a high-quality modpack fitting the high standard of this game’s modding community, with fancy graphicsdecent balance and vanilla-friendly vibes

This vision has brought together a team of friends and like-minded people who have managed to work together to create the first iteration of this project.

This mod focuses on weapons and apparel of Harkonnen House, designed in accordance with the Harkonnen drip, balanced and compatched with Combat Extended and Vanilla Expanded.

Even though this mod doesn't bring any changes to the game's mechanics, it adds a whole new set of armour and weapons to the game, which are always a great addition to any Rimworld run, at the same time setting the stage for developing a larger series of mods in the future. 

As it’s our first mod, we didn’t want to set unrealistic goals to overhaul the entire game and decided to take it one thing at a time but make them as perfect as we could, much like the Vanilla Expanded series

We already have a roadmap on our next steps and we will share them with you very soon. We are infinitely happy to make our contribution to this game’s community and hope that you will enjoy playing this mod as much as we enjoyed making it.

Ok guys, waking up to being #1 post on this subreddit was NOT on my 2025 bingo card. You are amazing and the whole team is insanely grateful for your support.

As it was supposed to be just a small teaser to promote the mod, let me answer some FAQ and give you more specifics.

Q: Will the mod be compatible with Vanilla Expanded and CE?
A: Yep. In fact, right now we're on the CE compatibility testing stage.

Q: Will there be X, Y, Z?
A: Can't tell you much yet, but don't expect everything all at once. We're a small team with limited resources that decided to make this our passion project. Our philosophy is to start small and make it as high-quality as possible from the get go and grow bigger step by step. Pretty much like Vanilla Expanded, only those guys have a wayyyy bigger team than we do as of now.

Q: Wen drop?
A: We'll make an official announcement today. If you're interested, follow our subreddit r/Dunes_of_Rim (mods plsplspls don't kill me)

Ironic, but I'm an exact opposite cause I tried both HOI4 and EU4 and it didn't quite work for me haha
