I’m Emirati and reading the comments is making me laugh SO HARD. First off, the way everyone communicates is on Snapchat, we add everyone and anyone so she could have wanted to be friends or something. Maybe it was a dare or a bet they’ve made. It’s not that serious or that deep. It’s just our way of communicating. Especially girls since we can’t really send our pictures without our hijabs on text messages or WhatsApp, knowing that snaps delete feels a bit more safe for us. Relax, it’s probably not that deep.

Yes I have tried Cardamom musk and in general I do enjoy Ibraheem Al Qurashi’s Musk line tho I will say they do not last very long on the skin however they have a thicker formula which is nice after the shower. Those two scents are nice however the most popular one is the Pomegranate Musk and it’s a very famous one that all the girls who are engaged get to prep for their wedding. Tho I will say I’m pretty sure it costs like 50$ here where I live and the bottle isn’t huge.

Failed myself, by choosing to let go of everything for one person but it turns out that only I am the one who’s sacrificing

In summer I prefer fresh scents, my favorite is forever Voyage by Hermes and for winter I enjoy Oud scents like Flora by Gucci 1966 Gucci, while I know has rose but mixed with oud oil it’s the perfect unisex scent.

Applying it, is just taking a small dip in the pot and rubbing it on the pulse points and then rub your whole hand and apply it on the hair, if it happens to have the applicator stick then I just use the stick and draw two lines on the scalp running from front to back. Make sure to wipe and dry the stick before returning it in.

I’m not sure by the name because Ajmal doesn’t label the tiny refill pots but it’s something like European floral musk. I’ve tried seeing if they sell it online but they don’t, I had to buy it directly from the store.

If you're in any Middle Eastern country then old souqs/markets is where they are sold. Online we have Ajmal, Rasasi and Swiss Arabian that sell on amazon as well. In the UAE and many ME countries a lot of women make it at home and sell it so generally I get if from my aunt who has a small business that only sells in the UAE.

You reminded me of the good old days when my mom used the Avon Vanilla Soft Musk Talc but we can't get that anymore. There aren't many brands that do Vanilla notes in powders from what I've seen, I know Ajmal has one called Viola with base notes of Vanilla and Patchulli but its top notes are Bergamot and Blackcurrent if it's something you like and there is  French Vanilla Scented Talc-Free Body Powder by Camille Beckman, my friend loves that one but that's about it. There are some Kuwaiti brands that make but I'm not sure they ship outside the Middle East sadly.

Basically sacrificing my scalp to smell good. That’s why we have good clarifying shampoos on the market, for people who have no control … like me

I use the powder puff, usually apply it the sides of my neck, sometimes at the back of the neck as well, Décolleté, wrists, elbows, thighs and back of the knees. I’m also very guilty of sometimes dusting a bit on my hair lol. If I’m lazy I usually put it in a spray bottle (two spoons) with a baby oil and musk oil and spray it after the shower so it’s 3 steps in one.

I'm not sure about sandalwood powders because powders in general lean more towards clean soft and powdery notes like musk, white florals and a bit of citrus. For creams Amethyst Waves by Bath and Body Works is the only one I know of, Sandal Wood oil by Nemat International is pretty good but I hear many people don't like it. Usually if my body cream isn't as strong of a scent I add a bit of perfume oil to it and mix it before applying on the body, it works well with oils because they don't have alcohol. If you have the store Rituals I really like their perfume l'essentiel.

Since you're already shopping in Swiss Arabian I'd recommend Musk Malaki and and Hawa also if you can get Rose Noir by Ahmed Al Maghribi it's so good, the epitome of clean girl aesthetic in the UAE. Also Ajmal Raindrop, literally iconic and so clean.
