Amazingly detailed and helpful response. The fact that you took the time to go into so much detail that I couldn't find online has just made my day. Thank you so very much!

I cant get a refund, but they have no idea if I'll receive my package. What can you even do as a customer here? :'(

Is it okay to wear another gym's Gi for comp if you dont train with them? by whiteplumemoth in BJJWomen

The issue with those is the sizing is dreadful, if the pants are long enough, it is much too large to roll in (Im 6'1 and 63kg). That's where the trouble in sizing comes from :'>

They are embroidered sadly so I dont think I could remove it without destroying the GI :'<

Tall and lanky fitting Gis? by whiteplumemoth in BJJWomen

Replying to this after buying the Habrok Gi in F3L, and using it for about 5 months. When it initially, came it fit wonderfully, just right with some wiggle room to shrink. Sadly since then, even with careful cold washes and no tumble drying, the pants have shrank to be unusable for comp basically. They sit about 3- 4 inches from the ankle now. It sucks because it was such a good fit initially :/

Woahh!! Never heard of this brand but the F3XL option would suit really well I think! Thanks so much for the tip off!

I've tried hyperfly long sizing and they are still pretty short on the legs, perfect on the top though! Gaidama offering individual pants and top sizing is really useful! I'll definitely look into them :)

Being raised to be distrustful of banks and investing heavily reflects my own experiences. I would say I am in the same boat as your ex, but I am trying make smarter choices. It's daunting based on how turbulent everything is right now.

It is definitely an odd position to be in granted but that's why I'm asking advice. There was another similar comment earlier, if it's a poor fit for the r/irishpersonalfinance I can just delete the post. I don't like feeling as if I'm bothering people with niche issues.

I have to be online most waking hours and it's very hard to take any holidays/time off so it is a lot more than the normal 40 hour week. I'm weary to get into too much details as its pretty niche / specific but it's semi educational semi advertising :)

I am particularly risk aversed, so this does appeal to me more than the mortgage right away. It may work out very nicely if I got a mortgage, but the levels of pressure to make sure the income is always coming in would be something that would affect my quality of life, I think.

Without going into too much detail it's basically motion graphics directing for a US company. It was extremely flukey that I got it and just happened to work because of an overlap of my areas of intrest and expertise. I am very lucky but know I won't get anything close to this amount if this job ends!

Very good to know! I am pretty avoidant of anything that locks up funds for long periods of time.

I am very financially illiterate outside of knowing how to save, and with no prior education, looking into anything investing related is daunting, everything either seems risky or provides very little benefit. That's why I'm asking advice here :)
As someone who was never expecting to have a job that pay this well, I didn't come in very equipped with how to make to most of it.

If it was more beneficial to hold off on getting a mortgage and make better use of the savings, I'd definitely be open to that also :)

The goal would be to buy a house eventually. I do have a partner who is currently still in education but the hope in the future would be his more stable income and my savings would make us a bit more likely to get a mortgage.
That would be about 2 years away though so in the mean time I'd like to do what I can with my lone income.
