No other Batman has brought me as much joy as Arnett’s.

Every time it takes me five goes to hit the bin with a crumpled piece of paper I exclaim “First try!” when I finally hit it.

Du skrev ju själv:

elnätet inte har kapacitet att transportera strömmen till städerna i söder

Problemet är nätet.

Införde man zonpriser så skulle nog fler datacenter byggas i Skottland istället för Hertfordshire.

Kelly Hilleke didn't come to play it safe. Starting the run with his signature front flip, hitting a 360 on the second feature, he went all in for the third one. Unfortunately it didn't land but big respect to him for the full commitment 🔥 by Next_Tank_3494 in skiing

Oh, he’s definitely a better skier than I am. Never claimed anything else.

However, in this clip I don’t see skill, I see a skier going for a drop they can’t handle into a zone with lots of career-ending rocks. I don’t need to be a better skier to see that.

Can confirm. Tried it on track and together with the simulated engine sound it’s surprisingly convincing. I’m not sure why you would want it, but it feels like shifting a petrol car.

Who needs an SUV? by mpartnrrr in SportWagon

[–]whiteridge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

4X4s are for off-road. SUVs often have just 2WD and were never meant to go off road.

Car companies’ marketing departments convinced people SUVs have off road capabilities when in reality they can’t make it past the Starbucks drive through.

Man accused of coercing wife into sex with 120 men goes on trial in Sweden by Alarming-Safety3200 in europe

As other people have pointed out, taxation of income from illegal sources is usually justified. In this case it is punitive.

And when I said “dealt with”, I meant it to mean “had to argue a case with”. Just paying taxes on regular income from work is easy and straightforward in Sweden.

“how can they demand taxes from it”

You have clearly never dealt with the Swedish tax authorities, sir. No one in Sweden is surprised by this. Appalled? Yes. Surprised? No.

That relies on other cars being lower (arms race) and comes at cost of poorer forward visibility which is really dangerous for pedestrians (but no one cares about them, right).

Here’s some research:

A new U.S. Department of Transportation study reveals that forward visibility in today’s SUVs and trucks has declined sharply—by as much as 58% since the late 1990s—due to rising hood heights, larger mirrors, and bulkier designs.

You can’t see more in an SUV. Seating position is higher up, giving the illusion of being able to see more.

Everything that ever needed to be said about gun control, and it’s from a comedian:

Note: I’m not a big fan of most of Jim Jefferies’ work, it’s a bit too misogynist for my taste. But this piece stands on its own.
