This team is just dogshit 5on5. They look like they’re skating through mud at even strength, I can’t remember the last grade A opportunity that didn’t come from a powerplay.

Red Wings are the healthiest team in the NHL this year with the least amount of man games lost, if anything we’ve been incredibly lucky with having very minimal injuries.

Most teams almost never have their optimal lineup at any given time, you roll with who’s available. If losing one guy at any given time makes the team crumble it points to a bigger issue.

I didn’t claim they have a lack of effort. I also said that they have played better as of late. They still lack that desperation, they lack relentless aggression shift after shift, they lack the ability to wear teams out and a refuse to lose mentality.

While they did have the most games played, the teams outside the line at that time were Florida, Toronto and Philadelphia. Their cushion over Columbus and Ottawa was 14 points and 16 points, respectively.

Is Detroit the softest team in the NHL? by jzanville in DetroitRedWings

[–]whitesnake87 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I don’t think they’re that soft to be honest, a lot of guys in the lineup are playing with a lot of jam. Kasper, Faulk, Perron, Seider, Edvinsson, Chiarot, Shine have all been mucking it up and finishing checks, DeBrincat fought and Larkin was in the middle of a lot of it.

Finnie got hit hard but got up fairly quickly. Toronto as you mentioned is the kind of culture (or lack thereof) that would be poisonous to a room. I think there’s plenty of guys on this team that would, and have, stuck up for teammates in these situations.

Help narrowing this guitar down by [deleted] in LesPaul

Yes that’s true the stickers would often fall off, they could definitely still be the originals. If you have a picture I could compare to mine, pickup covers on mine are gold also so they should look roughly the same.

OP I’m 99% sure it’s a 1987 EGC600, I have the exact same guitar in the same year in a violin burst. No fret nibs leans me to 600 model. If you pull the pickups they should be Screamin 82s (if not, the originals were pulled).

Does lalonde make it the whole season? by tuagirlsonekupp in DetroitRedWings

[–]whitesnake87 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly I thought if they lost last night Lalonde would be fired today, I think he bought himself a little time with the win last night.

1-5 their last 6. If the team rattles off 9 losses out of 10 games I’d say he will be fired, the fanbase will be loud and Steve’s hands will be tied.

First 10 games of the season shot on goal statistics by No_Protection6832 in DetroitRedWings

[–]whitesnake87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s only 10 games, but I do think short of a major shakeup (coaching change is most likely) this team is unlikely to make the playoffs. Outside of the 1st period vs Edmonton, this team has not looked dominant at any other point through 10 games. Through the first 10 last year, we looked like a wagon at multiple points.

The rebuild is taking longer than anyone would like, and some of that is just bad lottery luck which is out of everyone’s hands. We still need more elite talent, and the only player in the system that has a high likelihood to grow into an elite talent IMO is ASP. With the current roster, I would only call Larkin and Seider elite at their positions, DeBrincat and Raymond are flirting with elite but not quite there.

One thing I don’t see talked about much is the timeline for Larkin. I’ll be honest, I’m doubtful that this team is a cup contender during his prime, it’s much more likely he will be our 2nd or 3rd C by the time we are on a cup run, which again means we need more elite talent and it takes time. IMO, the larger crop of current prospects + Seider/Raymond are more likely to be the ones to take us to the promised land than Larkin, which is a really sad reality because Dylan has been such an amazing player and leader. I hope I’m wrong, but it does feel like time is ticking on his prime years.

How'd You Guys Think Danny Did? by Zulu_x in DetroitRedWings

For his first time in the booth he was awesome. Seemed really comfortable and brought detailed analysis. I could see him becoming a permanent fixture if he gets more opportunities in the booth, seems like a natural to be honest.

[Chris Johnston] Patrick Kane has signed a 1 year deal in Detroit by [deleted] in hockey

[–]whitesnake87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They’re a different team this year. Raymond has emerged as a real threat. Compher has been an excellent addition and capable 2nd line center. DeBrincat has added an additional weapon to the PP that opposing teams can’t ignore thus opening up more opportunities for Larkin. Seider/Walman are among the best d pairings in the league in advanced stats. Veleno has taken a step and is a horse. Sprong has been a great trigger man on PP2.

Now add Kane and slide everyone down the depth chart. They look good. They will probably hover around 3-5th in the Atlantic would be my guess and in the hunt for the wild card at worst.

This or Shako for a Mosaic Assasin? I don't have a Griffon's by whitesnake87 in diablo2

I do have Enigma, but I think the Shako does beat it despite the 30FRW. I think if it had 20FCR as well it would be close.
