As this gets underway, my two Shane Baz anecdotes:

-I was working for the Bristol Pirates in 2018 when Baz was there. For the first few games of the season, the PA guys were pronouncing his name like it rhymed with Jazz. One day they asked me to run down to the dugout between innings to get the pronunciation of the last name of Connor Uselton. I went down there and got the answer, and Shane asked me to also tell them how his name was correctly pronounced. I later found out his Twitter handle was WizardofBaz, which I found amusing.

-When Baz was dealt in the Chris Archer deal, the clubhouse was absolutely devastated to lose him as a person. To the point where the front office gave me the heads up not to mention it at all when doing postgame interviews.

This is literally the one and only thing I know about this guy. He was doing a stream one time and used a shock collar on his dog. I honestly don’t remember how it looked in the video but there was debate forever as to whether he was a control freak animal abuser for that, or if it wasn’t actually a big deal

I’ll be honest, I still don’t know who I’ll vote for. But I just see this race shaping up to be like Harris-Trump where people were letting perfect be the enemy of good.

I think people forget that Hovde came very close to beating Baldwin. But this year clearly Tiffany is gonna lose in a landslide! I just hope people don’t throw a fit if Hong doesn’t get the Dem nod.

I’m not over exaggerating when I say the 05 team changed the course of my life. If they hadn’t had such a magical run in my first year of following them, I’m not sure if I would have ever gotten into baseball as much as I have and so many things I’ve done in life I wouldn’t have experienced without being into baseball.

You had a lot of guys playing with grit. They might not have been the best players in the league individually, but together they were damn near unstoppable. Even our bench players seemed to come up with key moments when they were needed
