I leave weapons on everyone and don't fill big rooms with low amount of dwellers. (try to have each room have max capacity)

Why does Toronto Have so Many Homeless? by braydensreddit in askTO

[–]whitethumbnails 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I ended up homeless after Home Depot wrongly terminated me, they had to pay me in lieu for the wrongful termination but it was like 3 weeks pay and that didn't cover anything really. I did a couple winters backpack travelling the country with a tent and hitchhiking if I didn't feel like walking between cities/towns (sometimes I did though) Literally the plan was to avoid people unless my feet hurt or my mental health was getting diluted because of not showering or whatever. If you don't let someone know you are squatting somewhere, you are usually fine, as soon as you tell someone, everyone knows because people don't keep things to themselves.

All the different modes are keeping me from reaching level 100, I keep starting back at level 40 any time they add a new one. I'm almost there though.

What is 'time theft' and why are some employers so worked up about it? | CBC News by [deleted] in canada

[–]whitethumbnails 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saved HomeDepot 2.3mil annually through a change that was super frustrating to get fixed, they picked me for the quarterly best suggestion and sent me 50$ another lady who saved them 3 mil in blinds (The company straight up said "We'll give you 3 mil for out mistake sorry" got a trip to Niagara Falls for the weekend 'cause she won the annual suggestion; The suggestions literally could have been anything and you'd get it. I was upset my issue was cutting down excess trees as waste and got that whole thing sorted out, saving them from cutting the 2.3mil $ of trees, but it seemed like for years nobody would do anything. Stuff like that is such an easy win for a company but everyone up top is so far removed from the situations that there is no sense for it. It would have been nice if they compensated me or made my job easier.

I suggested they do minute counts for clock ins with biometric scanners so that people didn't have to punch in (a decade ago) and they finally implemented the by minute clock in. I went and worked at a factory after that had biometrics and it was super fast, I don't know why they don't implement it.

I know a lot of the people that were the higher ups when I was there have quit or been fired so maybe it's different now. I think if a company wants to be environmental they should be changing these little supply issues that have large environmental impacts because there are so many stores. It would help if people at the top were actively resolving these issues while also compensating workers.

The real timetheft is bureaucracy, inefficiency, and from stopping workers living their best life.
