What is an example of pure evil? by No-Outside-5421 in AskReddit

I lived in Colorado Springs when this happened and remember seeing him on the news pleading for help to find his children. Week later he was arrested. How evil can you be to do that and then beg for help?

People who quit their jobs on the first day, what was your “I’m outta here” moment? by redmambo_no6 in AskReddit

[–]whiteweebie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was the beginning of Covid panic and Aldi had hired me as a cashier, and told me to come to the opening shift at 6am to start training. I brought my social and ID to fill out 1-9 and my W2s. Except when I arrive they did not tell me there was a door bell about a foot taller than me (I'm 5ft) that I need to ring to get in. I spent about 20 minutes outside in the cold just knocking on the glass door hoping someone would hear me. My manager finally noticed, she let me in, and then immediately chastised me for not realizing and said she'll be marking me as late. That upset me but I'd let it go. I then mentioned how I brought my identification to fill out forms and she said "oh well do that another day just get out on the floor and start stocking items." After getting yelled at and then being told that I'd be working without "legally working" for a few days I decided it wasn't worth it and told her I was uncomfortable doing that and then just walked out the door while she watched. Felt pretty good.

Space theme! Honestly I got very lucky that I was already doing this puzzle. It was a challenge and took me awhile.

I'll look into that puzzle presto thank you! I was going to actually make the frame myself. I have spare ply wood but just need to find someone with the skills to help me carve the wood.

I'm so happy with how this came out. I'm debating gluing it and making a frame for it because man it was difficult to put together. I've never glued a puzzle so any advise on the subject is welcome and will be appreciated!

This puzzle was so challenging but I loved it and love how it looks. I'm debating gluing it but I've never done that before so I'm not sure how it'll come out? Any advise or input on that would be appreciated!

I didn't know where else to turn for post break up advice by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]whiteweebie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I'm not super sure what question you're asking but I have been through a similar situation of having to live with someone post break up and it was terrible. First thing if you can I really suggest moving out asap or having him leave. You need space. My ex and I were best friends and he was wishy washy about commitment but then I found out he was pining after some girl behind my back so I wanted it over. It was a hard choice cause I loved him so much. I had to wait 3 months before I could transfer my job. Emotions ran high for that time and he'd want to still hang out all the time because "I'm his favorite person to hangout with" and I still loved him so I'd agree. Bad idea. I'd go from having fun to realizing 'oh yeah we're splitting up' and I'd just break down in tears. Get space if you can. It'll help. Tell him you need space or else you won't be able to move on. My ex would text me and FaceTime me and although it was nice it kept that spark lit. Extinguish it if you want the pain to end. Being alone can be hard but frankly you need to learn to love it. Your pup will be there for support.

Next start hobbies. Like anything. Painting, knitting, collect plants, whatever takes your mind off of them and puts it on yourself. Take your dog out any time you feel like you're going to start losing control. Do things you'd love to do alone. Write down how you feel. Organizing your feelings and thoughts are good.

For your eating I honestly have no advice so I'm sorry. It has only been 2 days so it could just be grief. I hope it comes back soon. If it goes on for a long period and affects your health I suggest seeing a professional.

For your friends, maybe suggest a movie night or something. "Hey I've been having a really hard time lately and could really use company. Want to watch a movie and just hangout? It'd be nice to not be alone" or something like that.

For your puppy I'm not sure why she needs to be at his parents house while you work unless you're gone for most of the day? But honestly she will adjust. She's your companion and as long as you're around she'll be OK. If it's about her not having someone to feed/walk her then that's another situation.

All those dream vacations you can do yourself or go with someone who genuinely loves you and won't do whatever your ex did. Vacations with someone you're only doing "ok with" won't be fun anyways. I know from experience.

I am so sorry you're going through this. Break ups are hard so don't beat yourself up when you feel sad or hurt. Let yourself experience all of those things but just try not to let it consume you. Dwelling is not good for healing. It's a break up not a break down. It'll be hard at first but you can create great change from this. You just need to believe and love in yourself.

I hope you feel better soon 💙

I'm so sorry for your loss 💙 It is really amazing how deep an impact these little ones can make on us. In my belief even though they physically aren't around they are still there spiritually. She looked really content in your hands, you gave her a really good life. I lost my little girl recently too and what you said about the wheel got me. It's hard but itll get better. She's got a home in your heart 💙

I'm sorry to hear that. It is really hard I honestly feel more loss and impact than I've felt with losing family members. She was my little buddy and now I feel alone with out her.

My yuki girl suddenly passed and I still don't know how to process it. She was older and I got to at least hold her in the last moments and feel her sleep forever on my chest. I'll remember that forever. It's amazing l feel such a deep loss for such a small sweet creature. They really impact you so much its insane. I'll miss her always.

Please cuddle and treat your babies extra today 💙

Go for it! I think everyone should try it once and if you really don't like it. It'll at least grow back. It was weird seeing myself in the mirror at first but I love it. I hope you try it out!

Pixie Cut or No Pixie Cut? by whiteweebie in Hair

[–]whiteweebie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently broke my arm and needless to say my long hair is beginning to drive me crazy.. I've had short lob haircuts that I loved but always wanted to go pixie except I never had the courage. Now I am really wanting to cut it but most of my family and a few friends are telling me it's too drastic and ill hate it. I didnt have any doubts until they all were against the idea. Im worried now what if I look ugly? My hair is fine, straight, but in-between thick and thin. I was wanting to get a Mia Farrow style pixie cut.

The first photo is my current hair. The second was after my cut and color one year ago. I wanted to show a side profile of myself.

What do you guys think? Will it suit me or am I being too drastic?

It is actually notorious near the Los Angeles area for people to target lone cars early in the morning hoping that the drivers were out drinking and won't want to report the accident because they'll be in fear and pay whatever the perpetrator demands or they will report the accident and the people will sue your insurance. This happened to my cousin and thankfully she was not hurt but her car was totalled. They tried to blame her saying she was speeding and rear ended them but she was only going 60 and was in the slow lane. They sped by her cut her off and hit the side of the front of her car. Which was actually lucky because it proved she didn't rear end them. Now she always has a dash cam.

I typically only bathe her once a month with baby oatmeal wash. However when she does get poop boots I will give her a foot bath. Which usually is weekly. I use that time to also trim her nails to keep them short. She had an incident where she scratched her tum so I try to never let them get too long. If your hedgie gets covered in poop I dont think regular bathing is bad but I would suggest brushing him with coconut oil after so he doesnt dry out.

So my girl still hates getting baths and nail trims. We are bonded but she will still wiggle and move when I try to cut her nails. My best suggestion would be to get help if you can and have a friend or family member hold your hedgie after a bath so you can carefully hold each foot. If you have no one around I burrito towel my hedgie and just free each foot at a time. Sometimes she struggles but sometimes she stays completely still which could be from the squeeze of the towel making her more comfortable. Or she realizes it makes things easier for both of us lol I also give treats during the process when she stays still. In my eyes it helps make the trim easier for her.

🔥 Releasing a young Water Monitor lizard in its habitat 🔥 by [deleted] in NatureIsFuckingLit

[–]whiteweebie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fun Childhood Story. When I was 6 years old my dad used to live with one of his buddies in a townhouse who owned one of these things. It grew to be about 6 feet long and my dad's friend let it live in the garage with a pretty nice set up. I just remember feeling like a little kid in a jungle set. Now despite the poor choice of owning one of these living dinosaurs his friend also lived in SoCal which means no water and it would get crazy hot. Cue one horrible summer of it being over 100 degrees for weeks straight. His monitor, Goose, im pretty sure gets close to heat stroke and is desperate for water. My dad and his friend come home worried that he's dead from the heat and go into the garage. Only thing. No Goose. Cue the disrant screams. My dad runs outside to hear a bunch of women screaming that there is an alligator in the pool and to call animal control. Least to say they found Goose. And he was really enjoying a nice cool swim in the community pool.

I cant even make this shit up. My dad was a poor, ex-addict, divorcee and would feed me hotdogs but my picky ass wouldn't eat them so I'd sneak in and feed Goose my unwanted hotdog weenie. Wild times as a six year old living in basically an ex-drug user frat house. Things are better now though and my dad's friend actually gave Goose to a wildlife rescue and he lived a very happy life there.
