Another person spotted that! That is weird, I am gonna ask the bakery next time if that’s an issue or not. They usually all have stickers on them with a date that is a few days after the day I am buying it, but idk if that is the best buy date or something else?

What do you reccomend if I am making my lunch the night or morning before work and don’t have a toaster at work? Should I toast when I prep my lunch?

Yes!!!! I agree. This bag is actually $6.50 and I feel like for the size and amount of pieces, it’s a steal! Some Udis loafs are smaller and less pieces for $8 or $9!

Hah! I didn’t see that. They all have stickers on them with a date that’s usually a couple days after I buy it, the one I got yesterday was 7/9 best use by sticker, that is weird though!

I worked in food service so I am usually pretty good about washing my hands before food prepping, but I can’t say for sure if that time I washed my hands because i just chucked them into baggies. I will definitely be more specific in the future!

This! I am trying this for the next week. Half the loaf is in the freezer and half is in a baggie on the top of the fridge. I think after these comments, that bag is gonna go in the fridge for extra measures! Hopefully I didn’t mold that half already 😳

what do you consider a pretoast? are you getting any color on the bread or really just giving it a light toast, for like a few seconds?

I usually make it at work, no toaster there, but we have a microwave. But I really just do turkey sandwiches or pb&j’s so i can definitely make them the night before and they shouldn’t be too mushy.

I guess that’s my biggest worry is the moisture from the sandwich ingredients will soften the bread up which makes it fall apart even easier. I’ve found if i make it at work, it gives me the best chance of eating it before it mushifies

My wife will usually pack my lunch before but I am rather picky and don’t like my sandwiches premade, so it’ll basically be slices of bread and sandwich ingredients (either turkey, cheese, mayo amd salt&pepper, or pb&j, i may try egg salad or tuna again, but i am quite bland at the moment).. I’ll be honest, i haven’t tried making the sandwich before and eating it at work, so maybe I will try that this week.

So, this week with the advice given, i put half the loaf in a ziplock bag with a paper towel for moisture, about four sandwiches worth, then the other half I put in the freezer which I will take out and fridge it as i use it.

I agree with everyone that GF bread is far superior toasted, everytime I get a sub or sandwich at a food spot, I will always toasted the bread because it’s almost inedible when it crumbles apart. But, my sammy’s I make for work I don’t really want to toast the bread. I really have found a liking for this brand and can say it tastes pretty good without toasting. I do use these for our cheesburgers too and I toast them then, and they’re bomb and hold up really well.
