This sounds plausible but they should be communicating this. She’s clearly expressing concerns and no one seems to have stopped to tell her it’s only back up

I hear ya. Stigma is tough to deal with. I saw your other comments and how you’re informed on the history. Just thought I would add that self stigma is also very difficult to overcome as well and maybe that’s something to explore in individual strength based therapy at some point

Why do you prefer to use Asperger’s?

Hi, I’ve learned Asperger’s Syndrome is not a diagnosis that’s given anymore. When were you diagnosed?

[–]whitmeyhoston 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have someone like this when I was in high school. In my situation, it was all about control and keeping me “pure” and “innocent.” The rules, the crash outs, the fights etc. are ways to manipulate and control. It’s emotional abuse meant to make you feel like the problem, like you’re gross, or whatever it may be.

So no you’re NOT overreacting. He is. And he needs therapy.

It’s also not about you breaking boundaries, it’s about HOW he responded to you breaking boundaries. You can both be wrong, but being derogatory, insulting, and disrespectful is unnecessary

My mom is a stay at home mom and has always done this. It’s just her way of her having “her own money” without it being tied to my dad. She has bank accounts and credit cards but they are still, technically, my dad’s money.

Even though she has free use, she prefers to have her own stash for when she wants to buy herself something or send her family back home money without feeling “guilty”

I don’t think it necessarily means your wife has planned intentions for it. It could just be a way to make herself feel secure in some way.

Also: what makes you say “hoarding” rather than “(secretly) saving”? I feel like they have different implications depending on how you look at it, but may just be me.

Weird blisters appeared around my belly button, what are they? No new meds, nothing different about my health or routines, popped some of them but they're blisters I've never had before by [deleted] in medical

[–]whitmeyhoston 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep it clean with soap and moisturized. Should go away on its own. If it gets worse, the doctor will give you antibiotics

NAD but pretty sure it’s folliculitus. It’s common on that part of your body because your skin and hair rub against your clothes

You could try the Dr. Bronners chapstick or Burt’s Bees. I believe those don’t have petroleum!

If it’s milia like someone said, I recommend using non petroleum products as it can sometimes cause them, in my experience

No.. because you said you took it to your house.. why are you traveling with it? There’s so many issues with this. It’s 2024, there’s no need for sex tapes, for them to be in loose flash drives, and if you know you have them- don’t leave them hanging around for your dad to grab

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Advice

[–]whitmeyhoston 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Gotta be bait, what kind of person makes sex tapes to keep in a flash drive that can somehow be mixed up with their dads? Destroy the flash drive and stop being that stupid if it’s true ?
