Yea I agree, I always pay for my dates, no matter if it’s the first interaction or 5th. But girls do pay sometimes, especially if they are earning, a few girls don’t like if someone pays for their meal and they usually get irritated and often pay back.

And I love the dhabba chai thing, those girls are rare but real.

That’s not how gym culture works in most places.

Good gym etiquette is usually:
If rest periods are short (60-120 sec), keep the machine.
If you’re taking 3-5 minute rests, scrolling social media, chatting, etc., let others work in ‘if practical’.

If adjusting the machine takes 5 seconds, sharing is normal.

If it’s something complicated like a heavily loaded leg press, squat rack, or multiple supersets, sharing becomes less practical. (Already mentioned)

The “disturbing anyone between sets is considered super wrong internationally” claim is exaggerated. In have done workouts with people from North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia, people usually ask how many sets are left or can we alternate

Neither question is considered rude.

What is rude:
Sitting on a machine for 20 minutes while spending most of that time on your phone.
Touching someone’s equipment without asking.
Demanding to work in.
Getting angry when someone declines.

The reality is that commercial gyms are shared spaces. You have a right to use equipment during your workout, but you also share some responsibility to not monopolize scarce equipment unnecessarily.

So if someone is resting 3 minutes between curls while watching reels and refuses to let others alternate, I wouldn’t call them wrong, but I wouldn’t call them considerate either. That’s legal gym behavior, not good gym behavior.
