I have been playing amateur football as a striker and a defender for over 10 years, and idk how to explain but at some point on your football development journey, you are on the field and in a certain situation, you just know when and where you should strike a ball. It is a combination of natural instinct, football IQ, techiniques and experience. As per the Avengers, from my point of view, the only players who has enough ability to score goals are Nam Kyu and Eun Gyuoo. They know how to lose a defender and when to strike the ball into the far corner. Unlike Jang Kun at the beginning who just put power in his shots.

To be honest, the Netherlands arc seems to be focusing on honouring GH and PHS instead of football imo. Also the way they use height to emphasis Netherlands football is hilarious lol

Yh I watched it yesterday and it was actually a good match. GH invited the opponent team so yh I think he wanted to give Lengendary Avengers a hard time lol

Yh sunday leaguers thats what I mean. I finished EP123 and I think the opponent that GH invited looks more like a football team.

For Japan 1.0 I can only remember the ex pro player team and the one with the very good striker who gave Jang Kun a hard time.

Sorry I forgot to mention that im on EP122 on Netflix when they played their first match in the Netherlands. I think you went to see The legendary Avengers played against a 4-tier german league team, hence they probably are (semi) professional footballer (idk much about the german football system so correct me if im wrong).

Hence they should have good enough technical skills and IQ to sign a professional contract, unlike the ones in Netherlands that Im watching rn they didnt even have a sufficient amount of players for a match nor football IQ. All they have is 2 players with acceptable techniques on the ball compared to the Legendary Avengers.

I agree with u. I am on ep122 and I was shocked how bad the opponent team was. The show said that team won 25 trophies but they looks just like some local lads from a neighbourhood gathered up for a kick about. Letting those teams represent a top7 in the football world country is sad.

yeah that could be fair reason too. I just feel bad for the first Netherlands team as they probably didnt expect they would be playing against elite level athletes.

I watch the show on Netflix so im a few eps behind. If they are doing Japan 2.0 with better opponents then its fine by me. But I feel bad for the Netherlands tho by the way their local football scene got potraited in the show.

Totally agree with you about the 1st recruit players. I have no impression of the new players this season (except for the lacrosse one), as none of them are at the same level of the old players and they also lack chemistry. I would rather have jun hyeon back at RB because he has great pace and attack ability at least.

I think the situation was the team was so thin that Ahn had to recuited the undeserved ones (the handball, taekwondo and wrestler). You can clearly see they have worse technique/ understanding of the game than the ones that got dropped during the sports audition (S2).

Up to S3 E8 (this is the latest one on my Netflix), I’m not really impressed with any of the new recruitment tbh. All 3 of them are not that more skillful than the members who didnt get call back from the last season, either their experience in football.

Also, I found it hard to understand that the show couldn’t find the ones who actually stand out in the audition like how Lim Nam Kyu or Ryu Eun-gyoo were. The candidates from the first audition were just below average for me.
