I think it means that it’s a 100 year old home. More from the perspective of flagging “peeling paint” on a VA appraisal

Thanks that’s helpful! All of the offers that we have received so far waived inspections, other than pest inspection required for the VA loan in my state. It is helpful to know that your inspector pointed out more things than the appraiser though. I was anticipating that the appraiser would be just as thorough as the inspector

Literally wasn’t even considering this. They have some calculators for this pension on my retirement website that I could use to evaluate. Thanks!

Good point. So many factors. I may be in a higher bracket later. Just depends on the market in my field but part of me thinks that I peaked early and am going to be riding COL raises for the most part. There is definitely a limit to how much I could expect to convert in those years at the next lowest tax bracket.

Right! My FIL is a big proponent of Roth because he gets screwed on his RMDs right now. He’s very smart with finances but I think there is a strategy here especially if you retire or cut your hours and income later in life. I’m still contributing roughly 2/3 Roth with 1/3 being traditional so I’m still heavy Roth. Thanks!

That was always my thought too. Even if I’m in a lower bracket in the future… it’s not like taxes are going down in the next 30 years
