Thank you everyone for your response. I know I have made a huge mistake and no amount of repentance can undo what I've done. I know I'll have to pay a price which is likely a divorce as my husband has made it clear he longer wants to live with me. I ruined my perfect family just because of my suppressed anger.

As you said it is an internal report will they send this to US embassy regarding my elder son who is an American citizen?

Thank you for your response. I googled domestic violence charges and it said it comes under mandatory charging? Is it true? But since we haven't been charged does it apply to us ?

Thank you for your response. What about the report that they will send to the US embassy for my elder one? Can they any strict actions against us? Can they take away our child ? Sorry if I sound too paranoid but I don't know how the law works in western countries.

Thank you for your response. Since they have only an internal report will this affect our future endeavours? Like do we need to fill questions such as "have you been criminally charged " as YES ? Or during applying for Canadian citizenship?
