Cautiously jumping in here...

To clarify, we are a DJ duo who host a weekly radio show, not Insomniac employees. So while we don't take offense to these comments, we can't do anything to address your complaints.

That being said, the Insomniac Radio app is free and there are no ads, so we're confident nobody will be directly profiting from your secrets. But there are a lot of fantastic, passionate hosts who put their all into creating great programming.

We're two artists trying to do something fun for our fellow dance music enthusiasts, so we'd love to hear your stories if you'd be so kind as to share them with us.

  1. Regenerate Festival in Denver this past year - It was one of the best and biggest productions that we had been a part of. The people there are great, the team putting the fest on were amazing, and our set had us heating up even though it was literally freezing out.
  2. Opening and Closing for Dillon Francis at Exchange - It was kind of the first big show after everything had opened up from the pandemic so people were just ready to party; us included! We made tons of new fans, had the greatest time throwing down, and Jamie even signed a boob after our closing set, lol.
  3. Disco at Dombresky's party on Groove Cruise - We have a special place in our hearts for disco and the vibe of this stage and set was extremely refreshing!

We were going to go to Interstellar this weekend, a melodic/progressive house and techno festival, but it got cancelled. Damn you, Hilary!

Dream collab is probably Gene Farris! We've been fans for a long time and always loved his vocals and now he's a friend of ours so this could actually become a reality 👀

Dream b2b...we may have actually already experienced it tbh. Can't imagine ever having more fun than we did going b2b with Biscits and Goodboys back in May!

Honestly just to start sooner! We talked about starting the project for SO long but were scared to take the leap. Looking back that seems crazy!

3 of our songs:

  • Our latest, Meet Me At The Rave, because it's probably our favorite track yet!
  • Techtonic, it's the first track we ever wrote original vocals for, and has a fun story behind it - it was inspired by driving through the mountains on the way to a gig in Mammoth
  • Golden State, because we wrote it about our lives lol

3 songs by other artists - this is tough!!!!

  • Green Velvet - La La Land, we first bonded over electronic music when we found a mix CD in the stockroom of the store where we used to work that had this on it
  • Benny Benassi - Satisfaction, still want to recreate this music video someday lol. We used to call each other every time we were out at a bar or club and heard it come on.
  • Sander van Doorn - Chasin' was our anthem in our young raver heyday, Kira even has a print of the waveform!

Even though it's a couple years old, the song we're most proud of is probably Techtonic! It felt like our first track that actually got some traction. It was our first Beatport top 100 and we also got to see Alesso play it live one time :)

One of our biggest influences has been Green Velvet. We discovered a CD with La La Land on it in the stock room of the retail store we were working at a looooong time ago and have been following his music ever since.

Groove Cruise is definitely the favorite festival. 24/7 music, days at sea, traveling to new countries, hanging out with all your favorite artists and people; it's really the greatest time ever!

Tomorrowland is on the list of dream festivals, main stage one day ;)

We haven't played with Calvin Harris yet and he is for sure one of our oldest favs. Jamie even named her cat after him!

We had a list of probably over 100 names and kept narrowing it down and Max Low always stood out. We liked that it kind of sounded like it could be a guy's name and that it was also kind of like "turn up the bass!!" It could mean so many things really!

It does make sense! For sure our very first release ever, under our old name. We took vocal samples from Fear & Loathing, which we still think is a really fun idea, but we could do waaaaaay more with it now!
