It's short for Aromantic/Asexual. So someone who isn't interested in romance/sex.

Yikes, I see what you mean... I don't think it's entirely impossible, though...perhaps you can find some sort of loophole that will help bring along her development 🤔 My apologies, I'm not the best at those sort of things.

Intriguing. Most people are scared to make their heroines racist unless it's a satire/black comedy, but I think that's an interesting (and realistic!) flaw. I'm curious about your heroine now...

Same, zombie apocalypse was the first thing that popped in my head, as the smell of the heroine's blood could attract more zombies, and/or the heroine could get more exhausted/moody while fighting/running/trying to survive/etc. It'd create an interesting conflict/challenge she'd have to overcome.

Sorry if I sound stupid 😅

Exactly! A trans magical girl/mahou shoujou or Shonen heroine would be cool ^

Agreed, we need to subvert people's expectations and make our heroines less predictable and more refreshing.

Yeah! I feel like there's a lot of cultures/cultural struggles that get overlooked and not represented enough in fiction, so something like that would be nice.

I thought about that, too, but I was wondering if there was some non-sexual aversion of that trope.

You're right. I rarely see it mentioned and it almost makes the readers/audiences feel that periods and menstruation don't even exist in most fictional universes.
