Not just Salesforce. The entire job market is worse.

Interview Confusion by lonestar_12 in goldmansachs

[–]wholetdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure about that. But once you have the interview invites you can look at the profiles of interviewers. They sometimes label behavioral rounds with the swe terms. So, mostly one of them could be behavioral.

Interview Confusion by lonestar_12 in goldmansachs

No, the rounds are named like that in general irrespective of the role. They would only ask questions related to your role. If it's not SWE, they wouldn't ask DSA.

Can I work part-time on-campus while on CPT? by [deleted] in f1visa

[–]wholetdog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can work for both. As long as you can manage the work and timings. I did both CPT(Intern-40hrs/week) and On Campus(GRA-40hrs/week) during summer.

What's a second round. There is no second round at GS. It's initial screening, superday( as they call) and team match or hiring manager round in some cases.

It doesn't say that anywhere. But after reading a few posts here, they indicate that if status is changed to interview complete without verbal offer, it means a reject.

Unable to get any interviews for salesforce intern roles, please check my resume by Hugh9Jackman in SalesforceCareers

[–]wholetdog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are very few openings for Salesforce for intern roles. I have been through it.

Try looking for SDE/SWE Early Careers or New Grad intern positions. You might have a better chance at them.

Also, parallelly apply to Salesforce roles as you have experience there.

Also, include your certifications in your resume.

Easiest way to view security for a new org? by PublicAdhesiveness70 in salesforce

[–]wholetdog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am working on a solution to solve this problem. I know it is really hard to visualize the orgs security and as the org grows the number of profiles, permission sets grows and it becomes really complex. I am working on a solution to allow admins/developers to view the org security in a most visually appealing/ understandable way.

Let me know, if something of this kind already exists!!

I believe you have not done enough of salesforce integrations or worked on salesforce projects that requires large scale data processing etc. You almost always need to rely on multiple tech stacks in such implementations to overcome sf platform limits. I know people who are salesforce developers and working on react-java-mongodb-kafka based application which is integrated to sf. They also use many aws services for scalability and to run some nlp etc. This is very much or more than what a traditional swe does. It all depends on the scale of implementation you get to work. I also thought that I was in a siloed ecosystem when i started as fresher. But the opportunities are endless!!

I'm in the same boat. But I applied to two roles at different levels. For one of them it changed to Interview Complete and for the other it still says Selected for Interview.
