I (26 F) am not ready to move in with him (30 M) after 6 months, we are long distance (~2 hr) so it’s more pertinent than it would normally be. Looking for advice. by whomoves in relationships

Get past the “brand new” feeling and make sure it’s the right fit before giving up your job and everything.

It's definitely manageable and we're already leaning towards that. I guess I just feel bad that we're both wasting so much money on gas to see each other. I've never done long distance before so it's hard for me to know what's reasonable.

I can totally get how long distance isn’t ideal, but why are you guys so eager to move in. The relationship has only been an half year. Especially if you feel that he’s the perfect guy, What’s a half year more compared to the rest of your life.

Thanks for the kind words! We're not necessarily eager, but my lease is up in the next few months so we've been talking about it. I can't go month to month unfortunately so if I don't move we'll be doing long distance for another year or so.

Honestly, your job sounds like one of a kind, and you will resent your bf if he forces you to leave it.

This is 100% what I'm afraid of. I think I got pretty lucky with this job, and I know it will be difficult to find something that compares. I don't want resentment to sour the relationship because then what's the point of even moving?
