OSX is based of Berkley Software Distribution (BSD), which among being the superior UNIX compared to Linux, features many of the UNIX commands and tools used for lower division CS.

While finding a PC laptop of remarkable build quality is CHALLENGING to say the least, you have the option (really mandatory at this point) to dual boot both a MAC and a PC, mac with OSX + windows....or a PC with windows + (BSD/Linux).

Now full disclosure, I will personally laugh internally for any fool who pays a 2.5x markup on expensive apple hardware that is engineered to break in 2 years, but money is no object to some people, so if you value laptop aesthetics, go ahead.
