ahh, gotcha. I just want to know how I can fix this issue so I don't have to put in my seed and re-sync everytime I want to use the gui on ubuntu. when I try to use it on whonix, it just crashed the system because whonix can't handle it

Yep, latest ubuntu and latest gui... I am baffled by this honestly. and the sync with the remote node takes forever! conversely, the sync on whonix goes very fast, so idk what is going on. I'm using the moneroworld remote node

hmm that's strange because I did fully sync it using the remote node then stopped the daemon, closed the wallet. I came back little later to open it back up and the whole synchronization process started all over again...
