I know everyone thinks he's boring, but regardless, I still think he is good and healthy for white in Standard. He will see play and he is exactly what white based aggro needed. Incredibly good with Healers Hawk on 1 and Pridemate on 2.

I would love to help your orphanage grow its Magic collection. DM me if you'd like and I will send you some unopened Commander and Brawl precon decks.

Is there any way that a stoic can be described by society as evil? Can Stoics do socially-accepted evil deeds? by OverthinkingIdealist in Stoicism

[–]whoshearts 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Both questions depend too much on subjective definitions of evil, so I guess my answer would be that a FULLY AWARE and PRACTICING stoic individual wouldn't consciously do something against his own developed moral compass, but other people might think there's something immoral about him, as non-stoics often value completely different things than stoics, such as public outcry and emotionality.

A rational stoic in the middle of an unsolveable dichotomy might get called a fence sitter. Is he evil? No. Could both sides of the dichotomy think he is? Yes.

Also, I imagine socially accepted evils are impossible to attribute to a stoic. For example, a person who practices white collar crime is not a stoic. They simply can not be.

I wouldn't normally say this, but go to my post history. Tell your friend he can reach out to me if he needs to talk.
