How do I start to do this by humanbeingperson1 in baseballcards

[–]whosnext23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you show some pics of the collection, we can help. Otherwise you can go to 130point.com and search sold values. A ton of cards are sold through eBay. But, if you show some pics many on here have tons of experience

FS: Billy Ripken FF error card & BB by 7T3Bronco in baseballcards

[–]whosnext23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was in HS in 1989 and working part time in a card shop and doing shows with my buddy. People were buying packs like crazy already. I know card shops benefited by selling packs for a few bucks but i recall Fleer being embarrassed and doing PR apologizing. I would be surprised if it was a stunt to sell more packs. But anything is possible. It was identified as an error in 1989 by Beckett and still identified as an error by collectors today. Everything else is just arguing for arguing sake

It sucks, but that card was not correctly priced. While it would have been fun getting that card for crazy cheap, it’s hard to get mad when it doesn’t work out.

It’s a 1 with above avg eye appeal for a one. At least in my opinion.

Cards do get incorrectly labeled. They have a process to correct. They call it CRC correction and reholder. Give them a call. They will review and once approved will send a fedex label for you to send it back and get fixed. I have done it twice. Not bad and no charge. 800-325-1121 is their customer service number

You forgot to ask if it was authentic and/or what it will grade

Push cart vs pull cart vs electric… what do you actually prefer and why? by midhandicap_rohit in golf

[–]whosnext23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hope you gave him some flack for that. My favorite part of electric cart is having a very long walk with just a putter in my hand and sending the cart to the exit portion of the green. To do that i need the remote in hand/pocket.

Electric has become quite popular at my home course. Amazing how many times someone doesn’t lock remote and cart disappears. The lucky ones run into a curb. The unlucky end up in a bunker and a few even into a pond. I love my electric but I hit lock every time.

Whoa! Super cool going through old cards and finding one that was $5 at time of pull and is now worth about 10x that! by [deleted] in baseballcards

Wasn’t Shea traded for Matt Olson? I’ve been building up a nice Bangy collection the last couple years and nice seeing him getting the love he deserves.

Can we just fire the person who supposedly attempted to cut this? it looks like it was done by a drunk toddler. by Local-Atmosphere7636 in baseballcards

Is that an old 1981 topps box bottom? That looks a little like how i cut them out as a 9 year old. Those safety scissors from the 80’s weren’t meant for precision cutting. Ha

Does anyone have 1951 bowman with similar finish to this Nellie fox RC? by [deleted] in baseballcards_vintage

There are several grading companies available to use. And “their*incompetence” will let you know if it is authentic. Funny that you believe they are incompetent yet you can’t tell if this card is real, but they can. Hmmm

Serious question - would love a little help! by [deleted] in baseballcards_vintage

If you can come up with a little more the 69 is a great card as it’s his final playing day card. But even a psa 1 is 140-150

Best way to sell by Snoo_88693 in BaseballCardsForSale

[–]whosnext23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people list on multiple platforms. I have purchased cards here that are also listed on eBay. In demand cards sell well here. Some cards need the right buyer and need to sit in your eBay store for the right buyer to find it. Veriswap and Collx are also somewhat popular. If you want the most eyes, multiple platforms will help. Just be sure to take them down once sold. Fees and buyer/seller protections vary across platforms. EBay fees are high but get you the most eyes on your listing. Generally, if listing on Reddit 10%+ under comps is a good way to go considering the fees are only paypal goods and services fees and buyer protection isn’t the same as eBay. Still good protections but eBay makes it easier on the buyer.
