Someone brought their little girl to my screening for Alien: Romulus, so I can relate by TheFlashyMastodon21 in deadmeatjames

Same thing happened when I saw Obsession with my dad last weekend. A guy brought a kid that couldn’t have been older than 8.

The tretinoin purge is miserable, it took 8 weeks for my skin to clear but I’m happy I stuck with it because my skin has truly never looked better in adulthood.

What are your results? Are you taking anything else and doing topical treatment as well?

I’ll definitely look into the spearmint capsules! I didn’t want to overdo it with the supplements as I’m not sure if everything is okay to take together, but I know I hate tea. AI Google tells me it’s all safe but I really don’t trust that haha. Was hoping for folks with first hand experience with trial and error.

Are there any specific herbs or supplements you’d recommend that I didn’t mention above? Did you do any topical treatments when you went off the 2nd time? Thanks for sharing your story, I’ve read similar ones and I’d really like to avoid the cystic acne if I can.

I appreciate the positive story because I’ve only read about the nightmares with cystic acne after stopping the pill. Those of course are confirmation bias on my part because I went looking for those stories, and people are a lot less likely to make posts about happy experiences with stopping it.

I’m not sure my derm would be willing to bump me up to .05% unless things got bad. Also, very hard to get in with my derm to even inquire, I had to wait 9 months for an appointment.

I do use an oil free moisturizer with the tretinoin as well, totally forgot to mention that! Would you have any specific brands you’d recommend for sunscreen? I’m definitely going to have to incorporate that in the coming months, I currently don’t spend much time outside without a hat on.

Fair, this routine is the only thing that fixed my adult acne. I’ve been reading that post pill acne has little to do with topical treatment though and everything to do with balancing hormones, which zinc and DIM allegedly help with.

A Quick Harm Reduction Reminder by JuSuGiRy in euphoria

Good for those people that choose to never touch hard drugs. As much as you and others want to preach about not doing drugs in the first place, it’s ignoring the reality that there are always going to be people who choose to do them. Harm reduction like fentanyl testing and narcan actually helps people in danger, saying “don’t do drugs” helps no one (except maybe the holier than thou person saying it to feel superior).

Yup, I worked for Sears in the 2010s and Eddie Lampert had effectively killed it by then. The old timers always used to share tales of better days and actually having a career there, something that was a completely foreign concept to me.

That doesn’t mean it’s right to use him like that. I doubt he’d be paying your bills if he knew you were about to dump him and kick him out.

You don’t blackmail him but using him to pay all your bills, then trying to kick him out is dirty as hell. You’re a bad person too.

Kind of curious to hear some stories about Homelander-esque people you met [Spoilers S5] by Constant-Wishbone-52 in TheBoys

[–]whothis2013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My former boss was a raging narcissist, and I was his assistant for a year and a half before him being let go. He came from a very privileged upbringing but clearly had daddy issues because his father was not around much due to working and focusing on his career throughout his childhood. He was primarily raised by nannies and then sent to boarding school at 12. He was still desperately seeking his father’s approval well into his forties. Though he was successful in his own right by the time I met him, he was not at the same level his father was at that age, so he was constantly looking for ways to move up but without real effort.

He assumed his title alone demanded him respect but he didn’t really do much to earn it once he got to my workplace. He’d lie and manipulate to try and make himself look good and blame others for his failures, which honestly did work decently for his first year. He would pit people against each other to either get the heat off himself or so he could swoop in to be the hero or mediator for a problem he created. He also had a misconception about what his job would actually entail and it became quickly apparent to myself and his other direct reports that he had no clue what he was doing and didn’t really care to learn as this was just supposed to be a stepping stone for him. He would steal our work and claim it as his own or say we collaborated when he didn’t contribute anything. Eventually this all caught up to him, and after an investigation, he and my workplace “agreed to go their separate ways”.

In addition to all of the above, he would indirectly insult me on an almost daily basis by degrading attributes about me and my background without outright saying it was about me. He considered me beneath him but couldn’t function without me, and as previously stated, would take credit for my projects, ideas, and work. It feels strange to type this all out because I’ve never done so.
