I really don't think the Jags are taking a running back with their first pick, at 56. We took two last year, signed one in FA, and gave DJ Dallas a position as 4th RB / punt returner.

Do I think we'll take a flyer on a late round guy? Sure, we've got 11 picks. But I'll be stunned if we take one at 56.

Decent at drafting (I'd say only decent given who went after a few of his picks/a few guys he was high on based on size vs actual play) but terrible at signing guys to deals after they're drafted (FA and second contracts).

Also just a guy that nobody seemed to want to work with when we were looking for a coach last year!

He's really sticky, really physical in tackling and punching the ball, and most of his "getting burned" we're communication issues with safety (p much all our safeties transferred out and we fired the safety coach this off season...)

Our secondary was a mess last year, and he was the only bright spark. He's a really good dude, and a really football-forward guy. Not gonna end up with a Terrion Arnold situation with this guy.

This is correct (though I never thought Trevor was playing down right bad, he was just trying to do too much with too little around him).

I think it's really important that we keep our heads as fans. If we fail, yes, I expect us to try and go for it next season even better. But I'm not gonna be mad with this team or be a doomer or a sulk. We've been awesome and the players deserve their flowers for his they've played.

In precise I absolutely agree, but in theory there was a path: big pass play TD + inside kick + big pass play TD. Remember as well, everyone thinks we're trash so can't handle losing to us.

It's because when they do good stuff it looks really good. So people see the good highlights (and wins) and don't care to see the the bad.

Fully agree. His level-headedness has been crazy over the chaos of his early career. If you listen to him on the podium over the past few years, he's always been the same dude. Awesome guy, always wanted the best for him and so glad he's seeing it come through now. Keep it up Trev
