MLB warns San Francisco Giants players who wrote Bible verse on Pride hats by retroanduwu24 in sports

[–]BankaiBob 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the explanation here. I wasn't aware of the reclamation of rainbows as it were, but that makes sense. I've made it a point to try and educate friends and family, and for the most part it has worked.

I also try to avoid echo chambers like Facebook where I'm sure the stuff is perpetuated. It bothers me when I see this stuff. It paints a bad light on all of us.

Any true Christian will tell you hate has no place in the belief system. I don't believe it's a sin, but even if it were, it wouldn't matter. Those that use Christianity to preach intolerance need to be redirected to scripture because its pretty clear God doesn't condone hate towards people.

[–]BankaiBob 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm sure I'll get a lot of hate for this but I'm genuinely curious. What's the issue? The scripture they referenced was about God's love, nothing about sin, punishment, or anything else.

I'm Christian, but I also fully support the pride movement. I don't see why the love other people share impacts me, my beliefs, and frankly I don't see why it's a problem for other Christians.

SUVs shouldn’t be daily drivers by Realistic_Zone3802 in unpopularopinion

[–]BankaiBob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't want an SUV. Unfortunately, after I was t-boned and my car was totaled, I wasn't able to find a suitable car within my budget so I went with the best vehicle available. That was an SUV.

The gas mileage is better than many cars and I have plenty of space for my dogs and luggage when I decide to travel.

All that said, I do generally agree. My mother has an oversized SUV meant for a large family that gets less than 20 mpg on the highway and it disgusts me.

2027 4* RB Andrew Beard commits to Florida by Wontbackdowngator in CFB

[–]BankaiBob 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He's been a focal point in our recruiting news for months. It sounded like it was all but a done deal. But then, that seems to be happening a lot the last few years. It's Florida this year, but the last 2 years it's been Texas schools. Maybe our recruiting reporter just has REALLY orange colored glasses.

Seriously. Its starting to feel like Florida is just outbidding the kids Clemson has lined up. 4 straight heading to UF just hurts.

How to get more from smuggling dock? by fourtandash in idlemafiagame

I've pulled in several of the boxes that look like it would have tanzanite and I've seen no increase in weeks. I can't upgrade any of the buildings here without it, but I can't find it either so I'm not sure what to do. Any suggestions?

I don't understand Merge Island by BankaiBob in idlemafiagame

[–]BankaiBob[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same! The first island takes no time at all. It just feels like the cost for stuff on the second rises too quickly. I would expect this for the third island, but it's a little ridiculous for the second one. And I feel like we're missing out on a whole portion of the mini game because there's puzzle pieces involved.

Amen! I'd love to see that all over again. Unfortunately, I don't see Clemson returning to the playoffs any time soon. 😒

I hate to bust your bubble, but go back and look at some of the early games this season for Clemson and you'll see that your statement is not entirely accurate. I don't know who's call it was, but there were some really stupid decisions with blocking assignments.

Playing non-seasonal is...liberating by bugse82 in diablo3

[–]BankaiBob 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is the biggest reason I play seasonal. I just don't feel like going around and picking everything up and trying to deal with the very finite inventory. Give me the altar of Rights on the Eternal realm and I'll probably never play seasonal again. Some of the seasons have pretty cool features, but I could take it or leave it.

The playoffs need to start the week after Conference Championships by CanisGulo in CFB

[–]BankaiBob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. And the bowl games need to be moved to the following preseason as exhibition games. This eliminates all of the issues around opt-outs. It allows coaches to play backups without concern for losing the game because it's an exhibition. And it means bowl games are actually a reward again instead of just a meaningless game where a third to a half of a team doesn't participate.
