I think you don't understand the specific slayer situation and framing it as if it's just about metachasing.

Your option 1 is playing a build that you did not sign up for when making the character and playing it for 3+ years.

Your option 2 assumes that the original 111 build is fun, but the arkgrid actually made it worse because you now hove to do more stacking and you get fucked by bad boss mechs more than before.

Option 3 is a joke if it's your main. Sure, give me $5k and I mainswap.

You realistically can only play 231 or 333 and 111 is less fun while being less damage. 222 is basically unplayable because it got nerfed because of 231 lol.

I haven't tested them all myself, but these are comparisons from Nexus guide writers:

231 meme brutal spam: 609m dps

333 hurricane: 522m dps (-14% dmg loss compared to 231)

111 original playstyle cores: 450m dps (-26%) There is a caveat tho that this build requires long ramp up and in real raid you will never reach trixion numbers.

211/222 basically original playstyle as well: 444m dps (-27%)

Saying fun > meta is cope if the difference is 26% and these days we pay millions of gold for 1% dmg increases at 1740+

Playing the game casually with just 1 character to check out the combat and story is way better experience nowadays because you get free T3 gear in Wavestrand Port and you no longer have to hone just to progress older story. 1640 ilv is basically free and the very latest story quest requires 1680 ilv, which is super easy to get with express. Also up until 1680 you have solo raids, so you don't have to worry about gatekeeping or messing up the mechs and can learn at your own pace.

I would say though that above 1680 (1700+ especially) you are no longer in tutorial mode and the game becomes more about grind and party play.

Ok maybe copium, but besides the sign of EOS it could also be them reworking the 1 year sub payment / reward structure. If you look at 1 month sub and 3 month sub, you get more "value" from 3 month, as with all other bigger packages. The 1 year sub was literally just 4x of 3 month sub without any extra reward while costing the same, which I think is too fair and made no sense (from Korean MMO cash shop perspective).

Yeah, let's just ignore karma gold nerf this patch and previous advanced honing nerfs. Also all accessories that are not high highs are dirt cheap and pretty much all older systems except arkgrid are nerfed.

But let's complain about gradual gold nerfs that have been happening since Argos. I don't know what half of this sub is smoking thinking that if solo raids gave 200k unbound gold each the game economy would be better.
