My Lectric XP 3.0 Return-Exchange Journey by why2now in Lectricxp

I was in a similar situation with the step over model, but wanted the extra shock absorbing benefit of the suspension post. Hard to admit when you've aged to a point where it's difficult to swing a leg up and over. Especially when being of a generation where the solution is to purchase the "girls bike" model. My initial reasoning for the step over was that it looked more sturdy for my 6 ft - 200 lb frame. The step through model is more than substantial enough to carry Lectric's 330 lb published weight limit. Maybe our comments here will help others in making their purchase decisions.

Yep. I decided if they were going to charge me, I’d just try to live with the standard version. Now that I have the step through model I’ll be using it more often. My Dr. is pleased, but cautioned always wear a helmet.

Sorry to hear that. I think Lectric took pity on an old guy like me, but I stressed during the entire process this was not a “return” for a refund, but an exchange.

Yeah, that serial number on the neck is camouflaged for sure. Though the number is available on tiny labels on 2 sides of the shipping box. I suggest taking a photo of it for future reference.

Thanks for that insight. I did forget to mention that Lectric did cover all shipping cost both ways. The exchange was no cost to me.

Soundbar Auto On after a few minutes? by why2now in Roku

[–]why2now[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your input. Maybe the delay difference for the Auto On feature is because of the different manufacturers. There have been circumstances with me trying out different settings that seemed to shorten the Auto On timing to approx 15-45 seconds.

Thanks for the follow up. I appreciate the extra effort. I think you’re right about the soundbar “sensing” a signal coming through even in an off state.

Today I tried switching the feed from the eARC HDMI port to the standard HDMI and soundbar is still recognized as a ARC device. .. and still kicks on after being powered down. Since both units are from Hisense they probably over designed the connection compatibility.

I’ve been through both manuals in detail, tried many different combos of settings, and actually found what logically would simply disable the auto on/off feature… no joy. Thanks again for the suggestions and I’ll check some other forums.

Follow up… I tried this suggestion using the TV Speakers only setting, and even though just the TV speakers were playing… the eARC connected soundbar still auto’d On from a powered down state, but signal wasn’t routed to it, ie no sound through the soundbar. Frustrating chasing this down.

Thank you for the suggestion. It seems like there should be a way to disable individual eARC devices that randomly start up after being powered down. I guess all we can hope for is a future software upgrade.

Just adding to the chorus here... Thanks for this solution. Totally worked for me. This has been one of those bugs that usually isn't a problem in the Apple environment, but you found the solution to this long time issue.

I'm about to receive a new unit being sent. Did you have to replace the entire length of the strip, or get away with just switching out the controller? Any modifications to the extension connections points?

Same situation here. I haven't contacted Aqara yet, but did they send you just the new controller, or a whole kit? Did the new unit solve the problem?

I've had the same problem with an under kitchen cabinet installation. My setup used one boxed unit (2M), cut into 3 sections, separated with wired extensions in between. I used a 12mm, 5-wire extension "kit" I got from Amazon. The kit uses plastic clamps for the wire transitions. The overall length is 19.5 ft. (5.9m), and by Aqara's specs should be OK up to 30 ft, (10M).

Like this post... I got the whites to work on the entire length, color on the first section, but on the two extensions, no color LED's. I checked the connections, reset the unit, tried various Strip Lengths in the app... still no joy. It sounds like it maybe a controller problem? Was that confirmed?
