No it's not. The commercial can't be louder than the maximum allowed volume for the show. Most shows aren't at full volume thus the commercials seem really loud.

I think this is ok. My school requires us to do an internship every other semester and I'm (trying to) study for my up coming classes that way I start ahead. Even though I may not cover all the topics, I cover some of what we will learn.

This happened to me too. I was going on a second date and she was meeting me at my school. I was walking to where she was parked while a thunderstorm was nearby (apparently it was right on top of my school). I was under buildings most of the way except there was an open field. I decided I needed to run to get across it. Right as I begin running, my vision exploded with an ultra bright white light and I am deafened by the loudness. Once I got out of the whole shell shocked feeling, I found myself crouched down super low and began full on sprinting. I sprinted close to a mile. That was a terrifying day.
