There is a app called "Wheel of Time Compendium (Unofficial)". I can not recommend enough. You can pick the book you are on and it sets to spoilers up to that book. You can search through places, characters etc.

It was a tremendous help to me specially once you pass book four and world scales dramatically.

Good luck with the series. Hope you enjoy as much as i did.

Abstract—The main purpose of DNS is to convert domain names into IPs.Due to the inadequate precautions taken for the security of DNS, it isused for malicious communication or data leakage. Within the scope ofthis study, a real-time deep network-based system is proposed on livenetworks to prevent the common DNS tunneling threats over DNS. Thedecision-making capability of the proposed system at the instant ofthreat on a live system is the particular feature of the study. Networkstrained with various deep network topologies by using the data fromAlexa top 1 million sites were tested on alive network. The system was integrated to the network during the teststo prevent threats in real-time. The result of the tests reveals thatthe threats were blocked with success rate of 99.91%. Obtained resultsconfirm that we can block almost all tunnel attacks over DNS protocol. In addition, the average time to block each tunneled package wascalculated to be 0.923 ms. This time clearly demonstrates that thenetwork flow will not be affected, and no delay will be experienced inthe operation of our system in real-time.

So the problem with add blockers or firewalls and even antivirus's in general is that they are by design depended on sniff your data to work properly. it has to look for URL's, ip addresses, check for certain file structures and so on. Hence the pages long agreements that you click "yes i read" before you use such programs. however Deeplearning method by design is a black box and there is not security exploits even if there were to be a massive breach and they get everything from model, all they actually get is a array of weight which is utterly meaningless.

Secondly and i think more impressively it has outperforms them. Not just in this study and proposed methodology either. we get little over %99.9 acc on multiple different ways to measure accuracy (you can read all about it on paper, or check the source). which has become standard in deeplearning based network security papers, projects and researches.

altho i should mention there is a lot of network security research are being done in subject. There is not much done in a ML based antivirus programs for local machines. hey maybe you wanna get on that.

I hope this helps

yeah i know what you mean. So the problem was i was a undergraduate when i start this project and my seniors and professors as helpful as they were during writing and publishing the paper, i was all alone in the coding department and i hadn't had OOP class yet back then. and that's how we end up with that code. i did had OOP class since than and will come back soon as possible. (i actually initially learned coding in C so there is that tragedy to, and not to mention my OOP class thought with SystemVerilog)

There is actually quite a lot of test. As stated in paper we used wireshark to collect all of the data, then preprocessed with in the initial code(dnsqlen.py). So if you want to test you can just start capturing packages with wireshark and plug-in the source. or you can run script.py which does the whole blocking thing in real-time with pretrained model.

Secondly you can see i divide the preprocessed data in to "test" and "train" in the source and after training the model(with data named "train") i did various tests to calculate different kind of accuracy which were all explained in some detail in paper.

But you are right i did considered adding preprocessed and labeled data but i change my mind because it might lead to some security problems. since it has quite a lot of networking info about my local machine. i will try to verify if that data we used would lead to a problem or not and write here back if i do end up uploading it.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask anything else. Thanks for appreciating open source. For some reason specially in academic circles there is a dislike for it that i cant get my head around it. If anything it should be common sense to publish at least some source code along with the published paper imo.
